Fifty shades of Grey... HAHA… Why is everyone raving about that series, while there is much better written erotica available? Meeting her Match from Justine Elyot stands out on almost every point from Fifty Shades of Grey.Besides the descriptive and hot erotic scenes, this book was actually enjoyable to read. Where most BDSM novels go to the extreme and truly rampage the main characters, this book is different. The main characters are people like you and me, who are having a normal life. What they want is some excitement beyond what they perceive as being boring sex. This book is not just hard-core erotica, as there is a storyline that includes some romance. Cherry has also an interesting and humoristic personality, and combining that with BDSM, regular people, and romance makes this into a unique book. That by itself is extraordinary, as it seems the Kindle Erotica genre is currently flooded by crappy written novellas. This book is a great composition, and I could not find any grammar or spelling errors. It looks like the author has put a lot of effort into making this book be great quality. Even the cover is fantastic. If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey, you will like this book better, I guarantee. There is no tedious repetition in Meeting Her Match, and all the writers tricks that are used in similar books were not needed, as the story sells itself. I read it in one sitting, and was pleasantly amazed by the twists and turns in the story.

I have to say that I overall I really enjoyed Meeting Her Match. It was a refreshingly modern view on meeting like-minded people. As Cherry begins to experiment in the world of BDSM, she has a lot to learn and starts her search online.Read the rest of the review here:http://www.bdsmbookreviews.com/2011/1...

Usually when I pick up a book for Kindle at this price, I expect a short story or novella at best. This, however, was a pleasant surprise! It was a full length novel and very well written. The heroine, Cherry, is super fun and immediately likeable. The way she thinks is very easy to relate to and made me laugh out loud a few times as she searches the dark corners of the internet for her perfect Dom. Between the unexpected twists, the hot sex scenes, and the great writing style, I was not disappointed. Alas, I only gave it 4 stars because a bit of it was a little over the top and a stretch to believe. I would have also liked a bit more development between Cherry and her man as well. Other great reads in this genre that I highly recommend are My Liege of Dark Haven and PAYBACK - Revenge and Desire.

I'm a huge fan of Justine Elyot's work, which is why it's crazy it's taken me so long to get around to reading this book. Having read it, I recommend that nobody else should delay - it's a fantastic read.It tells the story of Cherry, a woman whose submissive side refuses to stay hidden any longer. She longs to be spanked, to be dominated, and after a chance meeting with someone that fulfils those longings, she goes online to look for something more permanent. She's quickly pulled into the BDSM 'scene' and ends up taking part in slave auctions, orgies and hardcore submissive training in a mansion house. This is definitely not a book for the faint-hearted - it's packed full of BDSM action, but it's levelled out by the vanilla happenings in Cherry's life. She feels torn between the two sides of her life and worries that they can't sit comfortably together. Will she figure out the balance? Or will she have to make sacrifices?Meeting Her Match was an absolutely delicious read. The action begins at the very first page and doesn't let up until the book is at an end. It's very erotic and kinky, but there are romantic elements to the read too, which, for me, made it such a brilliant read. Cherry's journey is a painful and emotional one and I was hooked from beginning to end. More excellent storytelling from Justine Elyot. Recommended if you like BDSM erotic romance.

I bloody loved this! I'm new to Justine Elyot, but after this juicy little gem I will definitely be buying more of her books and quite excitedly so. I wasn't sure what to expect with this, I just picked it up as a quick read and then found myself absolutely delighted.I'll admit one thing, I did expect Cherry to end up with the sailor guy from the very beginning and actually *wanted* her too. They seemed so right together. BUT when she ends up with the guy she's had a crush on throughout most of the book, I found myself satisfied anyway and very happy for her that she had finally met her match. It takes a lot for me to care about fictional characters but I ended up caring a lot for Cherry. Her adventures made me laugh, wince, sigh, roll my eyes or get very hot under the collar indeed. I would very much like to read more about heer and what she gets up to!

WELLLLLL! THIS IS A VERY SEXUALLY DESCRIPTIVE BOOK. WHEN I CHOSE THIS BOOK I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS SET IN ENGLAND. I PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE GOT IT. SOME OF IT WAS KIND OF HARD TO UNDERSTAND BECAUSE ENGLAND'S DEFFINITION FOR CERTAIN THINGS ARE NOT THE SAME AS HERE IN AMERICA. SOME I KNEW OR SORT OF FIQUIRED IT OUT. I HAVE HAD TO DO THIS WITH OTHER BOOKS AND I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE DOING THAT. THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND OR CARE FOR THE BDSM SCENE. I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO PARTICIPATE IN THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR. IF YOU READ TRY TO MAINTAIN AN OPEN MIND AND REMEMBER TO EACH HIS OWN. WHAT GOES ON BETWEEN TWO OR MORE CONSENTING ADULTS IS JUST THAT BETWEEN THEM. I DON'T HATE OR JUDGE THEM.

Story line was good, Cherry was very easy to understand and follow even though she doesn't know where she wants to do. I struggled with the British English, the slang, variations of spelling and meanings. There were some parts i had to skip, like all of the excessive spanking. I think if the story is Cherry convincing herself that finding pleasure in being spanked etc... then that internal battle needs to be played out, not just the hiding preferences for work bit. I also missed Stuart... perhaps the next book...

Not really sure about this one. I seem to be on a bit of a role with BDSM books at the moment and this one didn't rate as highly for me. The concept seemed ok, a girl trying to find out if she would be suited to the lifestyle of BDSM and her journey, however I found it just lacked that one controlling male that I think makes a good BDSM book.

What can I say - I wanted this story to continue with her and Patrick! It was a fun beginning (though I do always wonder what became of Stuart). a crazy middle and the end was endearing. I loved it all!"Are you telling me you're a paedophile? A necrophilia? Anything else illegal?" ... "Right. I see. And you, er, did the whipping, or?..."LOL - love that!

Enjoyed the character Cherry going out of her comfot zone. I enjoyed her journey in tot the BDSM world. I do not agree that this book was better than 50 Shades as some state, but interesting and enjoyable non-the-less.

I liked it but wasn't too crazy about the "slaving" part of the book. Goes a little too far for me but it was still an interesting read.
