2.75 – 3 StarsA part of me felt like I started the book in the middle. Maybe the characters were in the previous books in the series. This is a MMF read. When I started the book, Callie already has a history with Thorpe and a relationship with Sean. So I kind of wished I got the introduction of the relationships. For a MMF book the steam level was really disappointing. It’s not an erotic book, but a NA. I wasn’t really in the mood for a tame MMF book, I actually don’t like tame MMF books. Just calling like it is.Some parts were really slow and repetitive, but the parts that were interesting were good to read and sucked me in. I liked the story, the premise and the characters, but the pacing and flow was off. I wished it had more steam and more character development before it threw me into the drama.

Let's talk about the important thing here, which for once isn't the sex. I know, I was shocked too. But Fabergé eggs, as crazy as it may sound, are more important than getting your freak on.The heroine of this story, an heiress, has been on the run ever since she was sixteen. She lived in dumps, worked menial jobs, and had to drop everything and run at the slightest sign of trouble. And all along, she was carrying with her one of the Fabergé eggs.In case you didn't know, a Fabergé egg is an egg created by Peter Carl Fabergé or his company for the Tsars of Russia, who gave them as Easter presents to their wives or mothers. Only 50 eggs or so exist, and some of them have been lost. They are worth millions of dollars each, and are considered some of the greatest treasures in the world. Most of the eggs could open and revealed a "surprise", whether it be jewelry or photographs. So what's-her-name has been holding on to her dead mother's Fabergé egg all these years, and it turns out that there might be something very important hidden inside the egg.So what do the three idiots do, you ask. Well, read and weep:“They open up. Could there be something inside it?” Sean asked.“I don’t know.” She shrugged. “I’ve tried to pry it open repeatedly. I even took a screwdriver to it once A screwdriver. On a Fabergé egg. I almost fainted. But it gets worse !“Tell me how else you’ve tried to open it.” Sean felt her eyes on him as he unzipped her backpack and peeked inside.“Besides the screwdriver, I’ve tried soaking it in water and brute force. It’s, like, glued together or stuck. Something.”And then the part where I started crying:They tried taking some household chemicals to the ridge where the two halves metI'm still not over it.Other than that, cheesy, cheesy, cheesy.(I really hope you can appreciate the invaluable treasure/smelly cheese dichotomy.)A few examples:Callie had awakened him to love. And my personal favorite:Suddenly, the ground under me felt solid. I wasn't lonely or lost anymore.

(...)I enjoyed the story up to the middle, then I found some chapter quite redundant. I was kept on my toes on why Thorne could not commit but when I found out, I found him a bit too whinny and his excuses felt flat. Thorme is a very big bad Dom, the one and only owner of Dominion, a BDSM selective club. He is pretty much a God and protect everyone under his wing. So his persona is definitely the Dom of the Dom in the Domworldland.Animation1His fear and refusal to commit did not make sense with his personality. To be rejected by a lover/sub when he was a teen, mocked by his father and rejected by his ex-wife because he was too kinky. I understand that a person may have scars but considering the level of understanding he had with all the Doms and subs he had in his community and club, I did not find it a good excuse to refuse to commit to the woman he loved. For four years, he saw the woman in many D/s scenes but yet believe he can be too much for her. He claims he knows her soul, but yet he rejected her two times knowing the aftermaths. So up to the middle of the story, I enjoy Thorne, then after a while I could not wait to go to the epilogue.I loved Sean and Callie much better. But lets continue with the less…My second regret is that I was truly expecting the big bad army guys to show up and do something crazy. In fact, they ran away all the time, we heard about the villains but nothing happened. Plus, I did not get much the all of a sudden the bad guys are just behind them. Callie stayed fours years as a member of Dominion’s employee, yet nobody came after her during that time. She was not a prisoner, FBI knew where she was. Obviously the villains too. So why did everyone waiting to make a move after four years? I did not find much logic nor credibility here. Now the good parts and trust me you will find many.I am always thrilled when I discover that the heroes are not brotherhood, did not spend their childhood in an orphanage, did not run away together because of abusive family, did not shared the army service together, are not siblings, etc.Shayla Black gave me a treat here. Both heroes do not like each other. They do not hate each other but they are definitely not in the bro mood together. I loved it! For me it is way closer to reality. In real life, keys to have a long term relationship is to have respect, communication and the “do not cheat” addendum. Human nature means that we are territorial and a male and a female will be sufficient with each other and both will fulfill the needs in each other. But what if the person we love is not enough, that something is missing and he or she is not able to give? Most people will compromise and accept that there is no perfection. We may think that way during the honeymoon but once real life kicks in, the pedestal gone, we all know that we accept the other one with his/her flaws and deal with them. But in an ideal world, we would bring the best of each person and mix them to make a one perfect one. mmm not happening. So it happens that we fall in love with people at the same time. The concept to love multiple people is common. We almost all do that. We love, we marry, we divorce and we do it again, minus marriage most of the time but love is still on the line, maybe different, no less or bigger, just different from the previous one(s).What I loved about Theirs to Cherish was it was not a done deal from the start. Each had to work to make it work. Both heroes were very different. One was a true Dom, when the other one was a dominant in the bedroom. Very different if you know a bit about the BDSM lifestyle. The concept in romance to have two Doms and one sub is for me not believable. Doms are all different. I invite you to read this glossary of BDFSM and come back to me and tell me that it is possible to have such harmony with two Doms and one sub. But we are in the romance world where everything is possible right? (wink)So yes, I love when the heroes do not like each other, are different and finally compromise. It gives the characters way more depth. Then, we have the sex scenes. I truly enjoyed them. So much that I gave the highest rate which is rare for me. I am less and less impressed with the sex menage scenes now. I say now, but I’ve always been picky. If I do not end a sex scene thinking that I wished I had one like that, then it is a good sex scenes not an outstanding jealous I-want one sex scene. So yes, those are pretty rare. But I got them in Theirs to Cherish. From beginning to end, I wanted to know the epilogue and know how both men will compromise. For the fans of this series, they will adore the epilogue. For the occasional readers like me, you will also like it. All those testosterone to help one of them to find happiness was totally endearing.Do I recommend this story? Definitely yes! Will I read another (menage) one from this series? No doubt!(...)

This was an interesting start to a menage relationship, because both Sean and Thorpe came off as these ultra uber alpha male Doms who did not share. Funny how one woman and the right set of circumstances could change their minds and men who were once enemies were now determined to keep one woman between them. Mitchell Thorpe is an uber Dom, but one that refused to enter into any kind of relationship based on what happened in a previous relationship. I get that we are all gun shy, in some way, shape or form, after a relationship goes bad, but it was as if Thorpe swung to the complete opposite end of the spectrum to save himself from hurt. For such a smart man, he perpetually pushed Callie away and then had the nerve to be over-the-top jealous when she found someone who loved her. I really wanted to dislike Sean. He lied to her for many months and despite his profession of love, you had to wonder if his feelings were real. But as the story progressed, you could tell his feeling were genuine and you wanted Callie to understand why he did what he did and find a way to forgive him. But I didn't believe him to be a true Dom, especially when compared to Thorpe. To me, he was a total alpha male who liked a little kink.I'm on the fence about Callie. She definitely had a hard life, but her brattiness and stubbornness bothered me to the point where I couldn't empathize with her. And to add fuel to that fire, I couldn't believe she was really a sub either. She questioned WAY too much. If Thorpe or Sean told her the sky was blue, she was going to say it was gray. She may have been attracted to Thorpe because he had an air of authority and she needed that in her out of control life, she just seemed much more suited to a different life, one that didn't have the constant struggle between a Master Dom and his sub. I have loved other books in this series, but I couldn't connect with this one. I needed to be able to believe that three individuals engaging in this menage D/s relationship could actually work together. It was a struggle for me to see that relationship or to even want it. Others have loved it and you may too, but it just wasn't for me.

I don't know yet if I'll bother to read. It sounds like yet another stupid female running from danger who winds up falling for a guy who likes to dominate who's been wounded by some skank in the past. I'm 99 percent sure the danger she's running from will catch up to her and her big, bad alpha males will save her and they'll all live a HEA. Yaaaayyyyy I'm so excited! Except not. Maybe I'm sounding bitchy because I really want something good to read and everything I've found is exactly the same, but really? Why do these authors bother writing if every story is going to be the same? I usually only read one book per author simply because any book series turns out to feature books too similar to keep me interested. I just wish for once we could have a book that didn't feature a shy (though with snarky moments to make her seem strong), slightly stupid heroine falling for some big bad alpha who's closed off because of something in his past but winds up letting the heroine in because he can't control his crazy lust. And I'm extremely, way way way beyond sick of the whole female-in-danger bit. Jesus Christ. It's beyond annoying.

I've always had a kind of lukewarm relationship with this series. Interesting and entertaining but I always have problems with them. Usually the fact that they can be short on plot and the characters big secrets/personal torments are often much ado about nothing. Theirs to Cherish is no exception. An over-the-top plot and a character with a past that has tormented him for 20+ years. I definitely enjoyed the first half (or even three-quarters) of this book over the end. Mitchell Thorpe has always been an enigma so it was interesting to learn more about him (even if it was hard to swallow that he remained damaged and completely shut off after 20+ years based on his past). Getting Callie's back story was also interesting. The addition of Sean added to the dynamic and it was entertaining to watch two uber alpha's compromise for the sake of their love for one woman. The ending completely jumped the shark with its convoluted mess of shady genetic research, a covert paramilitary organization willing to kill, and possible government involvement. The story wrapped up so quickly with virtually no explanation that it defied all belief. For the issues I continue to have with this series, there seems to be just enough there to keep me coming back for more.

Mitchell Thorpe has always been heavy handed as a Dungeon Master, and Callie the sassy submissive. Nice to know her character hasn't changed, wish I could say the same about the top Dom! What happened, did the poor sap grow a vagina and his balls fall off? He's normally intense, in control, downright intimidating and in this book he's Ooooh my age or my ex left me blah...blah, pleeeeeese cry me a freaking river already! I have never met a man so touchy feely as him. As for Theirs To Cherish, I don't know the redundancy of it all made the book boring and normally I love this shit, eat by the handfuls, but this was flat out disappointing. Guess I was expecting more or had highier hopes as I usually love all of Shayla Black's work. The woman has a keen eyesight to the lifestyle, a true appreciation! I won't give up on the series nor her talents, maybe the next installment will be better.

I think it is time to wrap up the "Wicked Lovers" series. I enjoyed a lot of the books in it but this one was soooooo boring. It was disappointing because I really wanted a better story for Thorpe.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: Black did some things well in Theirs to Cherish and others that didn’t hit the mark with me. While the backstory of why Callie came to work at Club Dominion was mildly interesting, the characters themselves were tiring and unbelievable. I don’t recommend this story for anyone uncomfortable with detailed descriptions of physical and emotional domination.Opening Sentence: Callie trembled as she lay back on the padded table and Sean Kirkpatrick’s strong fingers wrapped around her cuffed wrist, guiding it back to the bindings above her head. The Review:Callie Ward is in love with two very different men.One runs the BDSM club where Callie has found an unexpected refuge from her life on the run. This man embodies the definition of a “dominant,” capable of stripping her defenses and setting her body aflame in equal measure, but has repeatedly kept her at arm’s length. She wears the collar of the other, a gentle man who’s sworn to own her body and soul. This man is everything Thorpe isn’t: patient, adoring and someone she can easily imagine spending the rest of her life with. Which is a huge problem thanks to Callie’s past. Not wanting to bring either man into her dangerous game of hide and seek, Callie is determined to finally cut ties after spending one night in the arms of both. Learning that the man she found herself falling for was hiding his own secrets – secrets that only strengthen her resolve to get as far as possible from them both before anyone gets hurt. Luckily for her, the two men are so busy figuratively comparing penis sizes that she’s able to play them both and escape. Her sudden reappearance after four years of hiding within the secluded walls of Dominion doesn’t go unnoticed though. Armed uniformed men are waiting for her, men that are very clearly not the police or FBI agents she’s used to eluding.Being the dominant males they are, Thorpe and Sean aren’t willing to allow Callie to disappear from their lives without a fight. After admitting what they both know about her past, they’re convinced that Callie cannot take care of herself or evade this new threat without their help. They begrudgingly agree to put their mutual jealousy aside in order to protect Callie from the threat these new men pose. Essentially kidnapping her from the Vegas strip club where she’d been making easy money, Thorpe and Sean make it very clear that they’re more than content to teach her what it means to be a submissive until they can figure out why so many people are after her.I have to admit that seeing a ménage book on my review list reminded me of how it felt the first time I bought condoms: a little naughty, a lot nervous and unable to look anyone in the eyes. It’s not that I didn’t have a general idea of what to expect. After all, regardless of the genders or number of people involved, human anatomy somewhat limits the number of sexual positions. But Theirs to Cherish isn’t just a ménage story. It’s also a BDSM story with emotional domination that far exceeded my comfort level. Some of this discomfort is because no longer having free will or decision-making abilities in any aspect of life, not just sexual terms, doesn’t interest to me in the least. I had a very difficult time with how both men treated Callie and ultimately didn’t see their interactions as erotic. This uneasiness definitely altered my perception of the story until even the dialogue became exasperating. I lost count of how many times – and how many characters – referred to Callie as “minx” or “vixen” or some cheesy variation thereof because she didn’t act submissive enough. The number of inconsistencies with the characters also became an issue with me. Callie was a self-confessed spoiled heiress who was forced into hiding at sixteen after a horrendous tragedy. Falling into the sex industry – stripping or otherwise – makes sense since she didn’t have to answer too many questions about her past, but where or how would she have perfected the skills to masterfully elude highly trained soldiers or agents? If she was so frightened of having a dominant break through her barriers, why did she work as a submissive in a BDSM club? Wouldn’t becoming a dominant have been a better way to cover her tracks? Then there’s Sean and Thorpe. I know they were both so hopelessly in love with Callie that they were willing to put her “needs” first, but these were supposed to be alpha males and dominants. Yet, beside from willingly beating her and taking away her free will, neither Sean nor Thorpe were believable as alpha males. Thorpe was too busy wallowing in self-pity and acting like a bitter old man to be even remotely attractive while Sean came off as a weak-willed sucker. I personally couldn’t see any reason why Callie wanted either, let alone both of them, at the same time. Her inability to choose between Sean and Thorpe – apparently the only choice she was allowed in the entire story – read as both childish and annoying.Though I had these personal issues with the story, I’m glad that I was able to step outside of my comfort zone and not let some misguided sense of embarrassment deter me from trying a new genre. Overall, I think someone who regularly enjoys both ménage and somewhat hardcore BDSM stories will find Theirs to Cherish an entertaining read, but anyone who’s new to either genre might want to begin with another book.Notable Scene:She had to find the only sensitive man in a BDSM dungeon. She would have been better off with someone who just wanted her to kneel, call him Sir, and liked to dish out a good paddling nowand then. Perversely, that had never attracted her. Sean’s big heartdid, and she feared that she would break both his and hers beforethe end. Maybe this time will be different. Maybe the past will stay there.Four years is the longest you’ve stayed in one place. Maybe it’s time tostop running and finally live.Callie drew in a shaking breath. “I’ll try again. Really try. Tellme what you want, Sir.”“That’s a girl.” Sean eased her to her feet and led her back tothe padded table.A glance up proved Thorpe had gone. Probably for the best. Hewas far too controlled and sexual for her. If she ever truly put herselfin his hands, he’d pry her soul wide open in no time at all. Shecouldn’t take that risk.FTC Advisory: Berkley/Penguin provided me with a copy of Theirs to Cherish. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.

Oh, hell yeah! Theirs to Cherish was just what I needed. Damn, but Shayla Black created a phenomenal menage romance tinged with suspense that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Bratty subs, two deliciously dominant men who can't stand each other, action and toe curling sexy going on. Seriously. I cannot freaking believe I'm just getting my ass to read her books. *hangs head* I'm totally going to have to go on a Shayla Black binge read...soon.The quick of it is that Callie has been on the run and living under an assumed name for nearly a decade after her family was murdered. It's been a few years since she found a safe haven in a BDSM club but danger has caught up with her once again and she's getting ready to bolt. Only this time her years at the club have managed to get all good and entangled with two very different men who are determined to help her escape her past. And that might be hiding a few secrets of their own.Alright so these guys. Whew! Thorpe and Sean. I freaking LOVED them. They're so different from each other and damn it was fun watching them go from pretty much loathing each other--because they both were into the same girl and jealous as hell--and wanting to throw down to being a tag team that would do anything to keep Callie safe and pleasure the fuck out of her at the same time. I mean. Damn. That was a LOT of seriously virile alpha male directed at one woman. Lucky, lucky bitch.Thorpe is all Dom. He's older--which gah just does it for me-- and so has that commanding Dom presence that's just shiver worthy. He's also way damaged from a trauma in his youth and really struggles with being able to tell Callie how he feels about her. I just ached for him as he struggled and watched Sean do what he couldn't with such ease. And Sean. He's a baby Dom but well on his way to having it all figured out. He's a little less commanding in that way but so very good in others. He's very open about loving Callie and a bit more light hearted and gentle. I loved the differences between the two and that they each very much filled a part of Callie that she needed. Then there's Callie who is a bratty sub. Lordy. Yeah, she likes topping from the bottom and really gives these two a run for their money. She doesn't always make the best choices but I could usually see where she was coming from and her thought process so it really didn't bother me too much. These three were incredible together. Their personalities meshed and worked so nicely balancing each other out. And the sex. Ung! Yes. This one will make you squirm. Damn me. This trio in all of their combos was scorching. It's not really kinky but it's hot and erotic and filled with passion and emotion and was just excellent."Am I hurting you, lovely?" he asked, strain evident in his voice."It's tight. I feel so stretched."Thorpe gnashed his teeth and fought for patience. He peeked around"Demanding : Callie's creamy shoulder, kissing it, then shot Sean a look. The other man nodded. "We'll take it slow, then.""Don't you dare!" she screeched. "Fuck me, damn it. I'm dying..."---"Demanding minx," Sean growled."Yes, sir. Now hurry!"Thorpe slapped her ass once as a matter of principle. "You don't make the demands, pet. But as it happens, fucking you suits us."Sean didn't wait or reply or even give a shit what he was doing. He simply began thrusting up, shoving into her pussy with long, firm strokes that shook her body. Oh, no way was the fed getting all the pleasure.Thorpe found the rhythm of Sean's strokes and began diving his way into Callie's ass between each. They quickly fell into sync, like a complicated trio of dancers--Sean plunging inside her, then Thorpe grinding down into her, and Callie rocking her hips for the most impact. It became a symphony of breaths, moans, skin gliding, sheets rustling. Fuck, it was like they'd done this a hundred times and knew the cadence and flow they each needed for maximum pleasure. It was utter magic. The suspense was great too. There's always a spot of danger lurking as they try to figure out who murdered Callie's family and keep her safe from those hunting her. It was fun seeing it all piece together. Sometimes I felt like I was a step ahead of them in that department and other times I had no clue so it was a good time watching it unfold. All in all, I was damn impressed with Black and can't believe I've not read her sooner. Total book love, people. Total book love. From characters and setting to make you tingle steamy bits and edge of your seat suspense...Theirs to Cherish was a wicked good time.Reviewed for herding cats & burning soup.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Any book by Shayla Black, but especially a Wicked Lovers novel, is my happy place. Each time I sit down to read, I know that I’m going to go on an adventure with all the emotional highs and lows. Theirs to Cherish is just the latest installment in this journey. What makes Ms. Black’s books so amazing is the connection between the lead characters. It hasn’t mattered which book, or even what the plot is. I am compelled to turn the page and keep reading because of the depth of emotional pull that I feel from each and every character. Even the secondary characters call to me. And I have learned to love them because either their story appeared in a previous book or I know that they will feature in a future book.Theirs to Cherish is a story of hope and healing. Callie has been on the run for nine years, ever since her family was brutally murdered. Callie was wanted for questioning as a suspect but managed to escape. Since then, she has constantly moved around, never getting close to anyone and afraid to love. Callie finally found a perfect place to hide at Club Dominion. She just didn’t expect to fall in love with the owner, Mitchell Thorpe. Callie ended up staying four years while she yearned for Thorpe from a distance. Thorpe has his own secrets which prevent him from going after Callie, but not from loving her. Instead he allows Sean to be her Dom and collar Callie. Sean also has secrets, but his love for Callie isn’t one of them. Now Callie is in love with two men but her past is rearing its ugly head and she doesn’t want to hurt either man. From the very first page, I was emotionally vested in Callie. It was as if she had reached into my chest, grabbed my heart, and squeezed it tightly. She then didn’t let it go until she had reached her happily ever after. Her story broke my heart but her resiliency made me a fan. Given her past, I was amazed at her capacity to love. I understood her need for submission and her confusion about loving two men. Even her frustrating independence appealed to me because it was all part of the delightful package that is Callie. Callie, Sean and Thorpe each had their struggles but learned to rely on each other to heal and learn to love. I too fell for Sean and Thorpe because of the different ways they may me feel. Sean’s gentleness and tender love would bring a smile to my face each time, while Thorpe’s protectiveness and silky Dom voice sent shivers up my spine. Separately they were wonderful men, but together they were unstoppable and no girl would be able to resist. One way to know that you’ve lost yourself in a book is when you find yourself yelling at the characters. Well, I found myself having many yelling matched with Thorpe. When we finally found out what was holding him back from claiming Callie, I didn’t know whether to hug him or hit him upside the head. It’s a testament to Ms. Black’s writing skills that I felt so strongly. It is so easy to lose yourself in the book and forget that you’re reading about fictional characters.Ms. Black has a remarkable gift and I feel very fortunate to read her books. I cannot wait for the next installment to arrive so I can once again lose myself in the world of Club Dominion.

Theirs to Cherish Shayla Black I couldn’t wait for this book to be released. I’m really not a fan of BDSM but Shayla Black has a way with words and a way with story telling that I fell in love with her series “A Wicked Lovers Novel”. This read is about Callie Ward a fugitive from the law and suspected of killing her family. Mitchell Thorpe “Master” of Dominion Club and Sean Mackenzie Agent assigned to Callie Ward AKA Callindra Alexis Howe heiress. As part of his undercover Sean went into Dominion as a Dom to get closer to Callie and get questions answered. After reading her file and following her around keeping an eye on her he was forming an attachment. Plus what had happened was not making sense. He didn’t think Callie was the one that killed her family. Callie was given to Sean and it didn’t take long for him to fall deeply in love with her and he eventually collared her. Callie was falling for Sean but she was so use to keeping emotionally distant knowing she would never have a future she didn’t fully trust or submit to him. It also didn’t help that she was in love with the Dungeon Master/owner of Dominion Mitch Thorpe. Mitch would stand in the corner watching Sean and Callie interact and his jealousy was definitely surfacing. Callie had an uncomfortable feeling about Sean and on that one evening when he took her and she submitted totally and he told her “I Love You” she bolted. Sean was devastated and would do anything to keep Callie and protect her.As the story continues the two least likely to form a team did. Sean and Thorpe became partners for Callie’s sake when she took off. Their main objective was to find her and keep her safe. Sean let Thorpe know that he knew Callie loved him and Thorpe and that they needed to work together to make her whole. That’s all I’m going to say. You’ll need to read and find out how it unfolds. But I will say when Thorpe told Callie he would not be staying and why, how he was emotionally damaged and could never be in a relationship because of what his housekeeper had done, what his father had said to him and what happened when he did marry. If I was her I would have said “so long’ but no she was in love with Thorpe and Sean. Sean was not afraid to tell her how he felt and to show her. But apparently that wasn’t enough for the spoiled brat rich kid. I’m sorry after completing this book my impression of Callie was she was a selfish bitch. I don’t care what happened to her the way she pined over Thorpe it had to make Sean feel badly. You would think after the man (Sean) proposed to her she would be jumping for joy but NO Thorpe had to be brought into the picture to make her whole. Thorpe had his chance over 4 years, I’m sorry he only got antsy when Sean came into the picture. What choked me up was she wanted her cake and eat it too, and Sean made it happen because he loved her that much. But I still give this read 5* because it was a good read. I can’t help that I felt Callie was a spoiled rotten selfish brat.

CLICK HERE TO READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW!!!What I Loved:Like I said before I could not wait to get my hands on Thorpe he has intrigued for a very long time so it was great to not only have him be the main character in a book but to have him be naked and having sex. I love mysterious Doms and I couldn’t wait to read and unlock all the hidden treasures and experience that Thorpe has to offer. I loved that right away the book hooks you in with Callie running to Logan for help to disappear. Right away you learn a lot of Callie’s secrets and all about her past and damn is it a doozy! The first chapter leaves you wondering why Callie feels the need to run for her life and what had transpired to get her to the moment of running to Logan for help. I love that we from her going to Logan we get to learn more about Tara and Logan’s relationship and that was awesome since they were one of my favorite couples in this series. Not So Much:I really wanted to absolutely LOVE this book and I just didn’t. It took way too long to get set up the foundation of this story, which left very little time to solve the mystery part of the plot. Once the story goes back three days to show the reasons why Callie decided to run it took forever to just to cover three days! The other books in the series kind of got down to business by laying the plot out for you, then spend the majority of the time building these relationships and solving the mystery while the female lead is in danger. That did not happen because by the time you get addressing the imminent danger you’re already 75% of the way through. Also the sex scenes were just subpar in my opinion. Thorpe is supposed to be this big imposing Dom who knows all the tricks and is an expert at discipline and he fell short for me in that area. I get most of the book takes place outside of Dominion so he doesn’t have all his toys available but I was expecting some more than just spanking and light bondage! When you read Jack and Morgan’s book the sex scenes are just explosive and complex and involve so many different elements you can’t get enough, but BDSM was really not a central theme when it should’ve been.

Theirs to CherishMitchell Thorpe, Sean Mackenzie and Callindra Callie Howe4/5 StarsTheirs to Cherish is the eighth book of Wicked Lovers series by Shayla Black. We've seen Mitchell Thorpe many times on the previous books, he is the owner of Club Dominion and we also met Callie as one of the submissive under Thorpe's protection. I am excited to finally read Thorpe and Callie's story, except Thorpe is mostly in the shadow and Sean stole the show. I adore Sean and his selfless way of protecting and loving Callie is admirable but I expected more from Thorpe and I am disappointed that he cannot man up. Callie is on the run, when her cover is blown; she tried to leave and start over. Well, she did try but her lover boys won't take the hint. I honestly think that Sean is the saving grace in this book, Sean is such a selfless hottie.Favorite Quotes"I love her more than I believed myself capable of loving any woman. You have no idea how difficult it is for me to say that..." -Thorpe"...You will apologized this instant to both of us." -Thorpe"Like hell! You two don't like the way I communicate. Guess what? Your style sucks, too. You lie." She pointed to Sean, then turned her stare on Thorpe. "And you clam up." -Callie"The world hasn't shown you a lot of kindness, so you don't expect it in others. You've had so much taken from you. If I have to bend my pride to be the one to finally make you whole, I'll be fine." -Sean"You made it impossible not to fall in love with you. I've never felt this way, as if you came into my life... and supported me so perfectly. Suddenly, the ground under me felt solid. I wasn't lonely or lost anymore. I was afraid to trust you. I've wanted to give you everything I could in return, but I didn't know how to get past my fear. And now, I don't ever want to let go." -Callie"How are you the most selfless bastard on this fucking planet?" -Thorpe"Haven't you ever lost someone precious to you and realized all the things you should have said and done when they were around? I don't want to end up with regrets." -Sean

I loved this book I love reading Shayla Black and this series and I am so glad that this book was better than the last one. I loved Callie's spunk and her sassy mouth. Mitchell Thorpe, owner of Dominion, was introduced to us in previous Wicked Lover books. He was the hard intense Dom who never took anything from anyone. His word was law in Dominion, and he did take shit from anyone he hit all the right buttons for me. He was always a mystery. A mystery that always had you thinking in the back of your mind, "what is his deal?" Thorpe was always the man in the background, a gorgeous man who was unreachable, unattached, and always in control. A past relationship killed his spirit, and now he doesn't believe he is good enough, tender enough to care for the one woman that he's wanted by his side since the first time he laid eyes on her. Sean Kirkpatrick, the newest Dom in town, has his sights set on the sub that Thorpe has sworn to protect. He's collared her, made her his, but there is more to him. He is a mystery himself. Sean has secrets, secrets that could destroy his future with his "lovely." In most ways, Sean is the opposite of Thorpe. Sean is tender, more gentle. He is not at all afraid to share his feelings with the woman he loves. Callie's devastating past has prevented her from being truly happy. She wants nothing more than to stay in one place and give her all to her Sir, but something is holding her back. The best part was seeing these two men gently warm up to one another, especially with such strong personalities. The love that they share for Callie is so incredibly beautiful, and the fact that they can put aside their feelings, step outside of their comfort zone and just be what she needs is, is my definition of the perfect Dom. I was so glad that this book was better than the last one and that this series is back on track for me and I can't wait until the next one.

Fantastic Addition to an AMAZING Series! As a longtime fan of Shayla Black and her Wicked Lovers Series, I am continually amazed at the quality of her writing and how none of the books are the same. The Wicked Lovers Series as a whole is one of the best out there. I highly recommend all of them. Now… Theirs to Cherish. Where to begin? I am in LOVE with this story, as well as the three main characters. Sean, Callie, and Thorpe are so dynamic apart as well as together. Their journey is absolutely incredible. Intelligent and sexy characters do it for me every time! Sean is more than what he seems. Callie is not what we have grown to think of her. And Thorpe. Just his name sends shivers down my spine. He is so intense! I have not adored a character this much in years!Their story is one of submission, passion, suspense and most importantly, love. Shayla Black writes such strong emotions that I felt it deep inside. I will go as far to say that Theirs to Cherish is the top of the list in comparison to the others in the series. It was flat out amazing. You will not be disappointed in Theirs to Cherish. Another beautiful story from a brilliant author.

THEIRS TO CHERISH by Shayla Black is a Erotica Contemporary Romance. Book #8 in "A WICKED LOVERS" novel, but can be read as a stand alone. See, "Wicked Ties", "Decadent", "Delicious", "Surrender to Me", "Belong to Me", "Mine to Hold", and "Ours to Love". This is Callie Ward, and Sean Kirkpatrick's story and Thorpe.Fast paced story of passion, murder, surrender, domination, and romance. The love of two men for one woman, or the possession of one woman, is not the only theme of "Theirs to Cherish". There is so much more than passion and possession, there is also a killer who is out for murder.A very sexy, passionate, emotional story from beginning to the very last page, with a few twists and turns along the way. And a bit of jealously. Callie is torn between two Sean and Thorpe, not sure who to trust, but she must surrender body, soul and heart to escape a killer. Or does she?If you enjoy Erotica, romance, passion, a bit of mystery and lots of passion than "Theirs to Cherish" is the right choice for you to read. Okay so this is the first book I have read by Shayla Black and I'm in love. There is mystery, hot sex, and a good plot to this story. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and I'm saying everyone needs to buy this book. First we have Sean. The man with secrets, a Scottish Brogue and a great lover. He just wants Callie happy and is a good Dom. However he's falling in love with her which will bring his secrets to the top. Then we have Thorpe. Thorpe is older and may lust after Callie, but has his own demons that prevent him from going any further. he doesnt' like Sean anywhere near his pet, but Sean is her Dom. Then we have Callie. The girl on the run from something that happened to her almost a decade ago. Just when both men start to open up to her and start to go at each others throats, she disappears. then we have the coming together and working like a unit of the two alpha males. Shes in love with both but will they survive to hopefully be with her?? You SO have to read to find out!!!

For those of you looking for more of an adult (ménage and BDSM) book, I'd pick this up. It's the eighth book in Shayla's Wicked Lovers series and centers on two Doms and a little sub named Callie. I do love that you can read any and all of the WL series as stand-alones so you can pick and choose your heroes. : ) If you love Shayla's writing and character style, you'll love this latest installment. While I wish there were more female Doms, I understand that it just doesn't sell, so if you love alpha dominant males and torn submissive heroines trying to choose between two men, pick up Theirs to Cherish.Head over to the HEA blog to see which heroines are Shayla's favorite and her top menage books!http://www.usatoday.com/story/happyev...

I remember when I started this series and how much I loved it. I love the author and she quickly became a favorite of mine. I had hoped like a few of the other series that I read that this author wouldn't steer away from what the series use to be about. I think the series has lost the meat that readers grabbed onto and now it has another form of "meat. I found myself skipping the hot scenes to get back to the storyline. I will continue to read the series because I love the author and don't want to miss the characters that I love so much. I only wish the author would get to what is important.

3.5 StarsOverall, I liked it. I've gotten to where I prefer my menage romances to be MMF over MFM, though. Thorpe repeatedly pissed me off and I wanted to smack him a lot. It took him way too long to get over himself. Sean was a good guy throughout. And Callie, while not always doing the smart thing, has always managed on her own so she assumes she can and should continue to do so. So pretty much formula for the series, but I liked the story.

I love The Wicked Lovers books usually but this one wasn't a favourite.Jack, Logan and Hunter continue to be my favourite Doms in this series.I liked that Thorpe and Sean hated each other. It's a change from the usual menages where the men are best friends or twin brothers. There was however too much unbelievability with this story. Not that I read for realism but sometimes this was just too far out there.

3´5 estrellas.

I really, really enjoyed this book. Her writing was so well done. The characters were a great mix. I enjoyed the mystery and action that I get from a Beverly Barton book with the kick of fantastic sex.
