Scott Toney has done it, yet, again with a romance novel.A love story with many twists and turns including Hurrican Irene.Ben falls for a woman, Caroline; her beauty surpasses anything he has ever seen before. Unfortunately her ex boyfriend is not about to give her up that easily. Many challenges are ahead of them so can Love conquer all?I well thought out book with so many wonderful descriptive scenes. All the best to you and your novel.

Although not a chick-lit fan, I really enjoyed "Hearts of Avon". Ben falls in love with a beautiful and intelligent Caroline who does her best to escape her ex-boyfriend, but there are so many other obstacles in the way of Ben and Caroline's love that it's difficult to say if their feelings for each other will be stronger than whatever tries to separate them. "Hearts of Avon" is abundant in twists and turns, and you never know what will happen in the next chapter. I'll gladly reread the story of Ben and Caroline sometime soon, because it's an extremely enjoyable book.

I live in North Carolina...needless to say that this book touched close to home. I say that because I was here when Hurricanes Irene & Sandy ripped through our state...hitting our coast the hardest. I know that other states were hit harder than we were, but this book tied in with our actual experience and shed light on what people went through out on the coast. Many of our friends and family live there and this book helped me relate to what they went through. Tie that experience in, with a touching love story and you have a 5 star read! LOVED this book and will be recommending it to others!

Wonderful story that tugs at the heartstrings and embodies the power of true love. Ben and Caroline are sympathetic, believable characters and John is a wonderfully written portrayal of obsession. Scott Toney is amazingly adept at pulling his readers along this emotional journey of romantic discovery. When it ended, I felt like it needed more, like it shouldn't be finished yet; or perhaps, I needed more, because it was so enjoyable! A best kept secret; perfect for readers that have exhausted their N. Sparks collections and crave a new voice in clean, romantic literature.

This was a strange book. I liked it, there was a lot of action to begin with, but partway through, one of the main characters is injured and ends up in a coma, and the action begins to bog down there. The other problem was that the ending just sort of hangs out there. I was expecting a more definite ending, but this one, the story just sort of stops, with more stuff out there to happen. I was kind of disappointed in that.

Being from the east coast, I could relate to the effects of hurricanes. What I couldn't relate to is how a woman could still have feelings for an abuser and stalker. I know it happens, but its beyond me. The other thing not mentioned in any book description is the references to "God" throughout the entire book. Considering the book is only 147 pages, these were things I had a hard time overlooking. If you are into the whole religion thing, you would probably enjoy this book.

In Hearts of Avon we met Ben who is a painter that lives with his dad. He falls for Caroline who is just in town for a vacation. Caroline has past baggage and he comes back to claim her and then there is a hurricane in the mix.For me this was a slow book and sometimes I felt like things was just repeated itself. I did enjoy that it was a Christian book since that is all that I read. *Please note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
