Book Tour for this book is being held from November 18-22, at a varying amount of Blogs including mine.I was given an ARC copy of this book, in return for an honest review.Ascension starts off after everything was said and done in Sacrifice. About like a week or so. After having expelled Calebs demon, making him human, he was to have forgotten all about Celeste. She sure hadn't forgotten about him. Though that wasn't about to stop her from what was needing to be done. To get prepared for the battle, the battle among her and the countess. In this book secrets are revealed, that have been a lingering question in my mind throughout this series, "who was leaving the scrolls". Other things like another member of Celeste's, Kendall's, and Gabe's family is revealed. More of the past is recovered which made things make more sense. And you take a trip into the spirit realm, though it seemed like a mix between Wizard of Oz and Alice and Wonderland there, it kind of through me for a loop, but really it made sense with the characters in the book. However, the ending, was quite confusing there for a while, but it all came together nicely, and set it up for the next book. Which of course I'm dying to read now lol. What I loved about this book was that the story line was easy to follow, the world was easy to get sucked into, and the character you just can't help but to fall in love with. What I didn't like about this book is that along with the confusion near the end, there were a few other parts that confused me for a minute, that I felt could have used a little more detail on. But other than that this was another fantastic book from Stacey Rourke.

Oh man, if you love this series like I do, you probably thought it couldn't get any better.... You would be sooo wrong! The gangs all here and in a really bad place. The counsel has turned away from them due to a major revelation gone wrong, and the kids are on their own. Battling the Countess and with new Allies that may or may not have their best interests at heart makes life much more difficult than it already was. With Celeste struggling with not only her love life, but with the coming battle, she may not retain her sanity long enough to see it all through. This book is the ONE, the one we have been waiting for, the one that the other books in the series have been leading up to. Oh man, I absolutely could not put it down and was shocked over and over again by the twists and turns that the story took. There is more than one shocking surprise and a shocking ending. I was super happy to see the Dark Army Glee Club and, of course, Grams back again, they are my favorites! This is a must read book for all ages with strong lead female characters!!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads. What an amazing read! Just when I thought this story couldn't get better-Celeste and the Gryphon Crew are back in a BIG way! Stacey Rourke continues to out do herself. This story is packed with twists, turns and lots of emotion-I just couldn't put it down! In true Gryphon form you're left with a cliffhanger that makes you inpatient for the next installment. You can judge this series by its new covers, as they are awesome! I truly enjoy this series! <3Wicked Reads Review Team<3

"She is like no other. She will draw strength from them all. Her need to protect them will be her catalyst. Only then can she do what must be done and become the hero we need her to be. Only then will she...ascend.""You were chosen for this high honor, CeeCee. Because of your strong strength of character.""One lone thought plagued me as those double doors slammed shut behind us; the very Council that created my team just tore it apart.""The very people that hold magicks powerful enough to turn one of you into a lion and the other into a Conduit now believe you to be traitors."Ascension is the fouth book in The Gryphon Series and brings Celeste to finally face her destiny head on. She never asked for this "honor" to be thrust upon her, but she realizes she has to save her family, her town and humanity. Through a series of attacks on her loved ones and the citizens of Gainesboro, Celeste recognizes that she may have to stand alone and be faced with losing everything that she holds dear. A feeling of isolation threatens to pull her under, but her determination and the passion of all who care for her, provides her with the strength she needs to go to war.Ascesion is the emotionally charged ending to the Gryphon Series. It has everything that made me fall in love with it and so much more. Celeste has grown tremendously from the first book, not only in strength but her drive to keep her loved ones safe. This makes her a character that I could really grow attached to. Also one of my favorite characters, Gram, gives us a glimpse of her ability to keep the Garrett family together as the matriarch and often times the much needed comic relief in the turbulent events. She had so many hystrically funny one liners either from her or about her. I could visualize her with leopard print leotards, bright red nails and maybe even a bandana around her head while she sweats to Olivia Newton John's Let's Get Physical. LOL Maybe that's just me. "I give it two hours, tops, before she's in the middle of Main Street singing Lady Marmalade...again." HahaOf course I can't leave out the two hot males that are both smitten with Celeste. To be faced with that choice would be so difficult. How do you choose between an Irish hottie that could make your knees buckle and the darker "pirate" that excites your senses with just one touch? "Separately, Caleb and Rowan could make any girl swoon. Together they were a symphony of lethal seduction. Dark and Light. Mystery and intrigue. Danger and promise." I could never get enough of them. One of my ALL TIME favorite series. Highly addicting and beyond hillarious. I love everything about this series. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal that grabs you and makes you keep coming back and begging for more.

I received this ARC to give an honest review.Man oh man I do not even want to write this review as I know I may end up giving up some spoilers lol. In Book 4 of this amazing series we continue where book 3 Sacrifice left off.The characters in the book are just amazing as before. Each having their own witty comments and humor within almost everything that comes out of their mouth. Grams is still one of my favorite characters (besides the hot Rowan and Caleb). There are some secrets that come up and boy is Celeste madder than dirt. Not only that the council has turned their back on them unless Celeste does what they want. Go figure don't they know Celeste has a mind of her own. There is a major fight scene like no other that has the other fight scenes in the previous books look like a cake walk. There is so much going on with this book that the way the ending is written I do wonder if there could be a book five in the works? Maybe? Fingers are crossed. Two of many of my favorite parts within the book are as followed:"The old people are the only ones that brought weapons. Does anyone else find that disturbing?"Keni "The New Adult section broke my fall." "Yikes, now I'm nervous it may have impregnated me in the process."Each character will have you laughing in your own way. Especially The Dark Glee Club (I mean there can not be a book without them in it right?) there is humor, love lost, love found, heart-ache, a sense of compassion for the countess and so much more. Celeste has to make decisions and they may or may not be for the best. You just have to read to find that out. If you have not read the other books in this series I highly suggest you get busy reading them so you can start this book. You will not be disappointed!

She has my heart. That being said I Swear what im about to say is the truth whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me Goddess.I adore Celeste Garrett shes soo bad ass. Shes doing the best that she can. She s got a death to deal with as well as Barnabus and the Countess. She crosses over to the spirit plane. And learns some pretty life altering stuff.. I was lucky enough to recieve an ARC copy of this book....yes, be jealous...oh sooooo jealous...LOL!Well, just when you think it couldn't get any better than the previous books in this series it does! Talking about keeping things lively! A lot of series you see fade off as they get past the famous "trilogy" level. It's always a gamble after book three to continue! The Trilogy Curse maybe? However Stacey Rourke pulls off book four like the pro she is making Ascension my FAVORITE out of her series! I can't believe I said that!!! Yes! This one surpassed her others in my opinion! Sarcastic humor, sibling teases, character building, action packed, love story, allies and enemies oh my!!!!! At one point I wanted to contact her at four in the morning and scream "What was that?!?!?! Why! Why would you do that?!?!?! I managed to least until about Nine A.M. Then it was fair yelling time! Sigh.... I'm still shaking my head in shock! I can't tell you, don't ask! Just.....just..... well, read it! You won't regret it! I was ticked off every time I was interrupted by someone while I read! I mean, REALLY? I know I'm suppose to work but don't they know what it's like to be truly immersed in a book? So, ahem, as I was saying! When it's released in November be sure to grab it! You won't regret it!"Careful Gryphon girl. Your feline side is showing"Stacey Rourke has once again left you wanting more! AGAIN!

Ascension by Stacey Rourke is the 4th book in the Gryphon series. If you haven't read the other books in the series, then you need to read them first. Ascension focuses on the conflict between the Garrett siblings and the Countess. As tensions rise, Celeste learns a lot of truths about the past...and some of the truths she discovers are upsetting. Can Celeste and her friends defeat the Countess and her demon army? Can they survive the war or will members of team Gryphon fall?Just like all the Gryphon series books, Ascension was well written and well edited. The story line flowed smoothly and the plot was riveting. I love the characters in this series. Celeste is dealing with so many issues as the conduit and she is still struggling to deal with letting Caleb go in Embrace. But through all of her struggles, she shows remarkable inner strength and resolve. Caleb and Rowan are both sexy and they are both devoted to Celeste. I wouldn't want to have to choose between those two amazing book boys. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with the ending of this book. But I'm looking forward to read in the next book in the series and seeing where Ms. Rourke takes the characters.

I missed the Garrett clan and was gloriously happy to receive an ARC of this book but all it did was whet my appetite. I lost count of the twists in this book. I don't even know where to begin. How can I tell you how great this book is without giving anything away? This one had me wondering if I might be bi polar. I'm still not convinced that I'm not. One minute I was jumping up and down with joy and the next I was fighting tears. A few more pages and my mouth was hanging open in shock. Did I mention that Stacey Rourke can write a kick butt book? I NEED the next book pronto! The ending has left me with TONS of questions and want them answered NOW! I wonder if I could bribe Mrs. Rourke with a little rum? Why should you read this book? Well, because this book has it all.....Action.... checkDrama.... checkTwists..... double check!A hint of romance... checkHumor.... Check! And if that isn't enough to convince you, did I mention there is a super sexy pirate and gorgeous Irishman involved? I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

Stacey Rourke Ascension Gryphon Series #4It feels like I’ve been patiently waiting for this book forever, and now I’ve read it I can honestly say it was worth the wait. This series is one that I will read over and over again, and I’m not sure I could ever get enough of the characters. Everyone is present for a star performance (incl. the Dark Army Glee Club and Grams), and books 1 – 3 have been leading up to this point, where the final battle is coming and it’s all or nothing. There are some amazing twists which kept me gripped, which isn’t hard taking into account the writing style, humour, action, drama and emotional turmoil contained within the pages (ok, this pretty much covers everything but nothing I could say will get across how great the series is). Whether your Team Caleb or Team Rowan (damn, two book boyfriends in one book), the author has played it well and I definitely didn’t see the ending coming. This is a series I would highly recommend reading. I received an e-copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Twists and turns - yes, those are the words I would use to describe the plot of Stacey Rourke’s newest masterpiece. Our hero, Celeste, is faced with gut-wrenching decisions that could turn her against everyone she was chosen by the Gryphon to protect. Throughout the story, I found myself wrestling with the same emotions as Celeste - trying to decide where my allegiances would fall. Mrs. Rourke certainly has a knack for engaging her readers! I had to force myself to take a break during one of the most action-packed scenes because I realized it was 5:30 in the morning and I had not been to sleep! The cliff-hanger ending has me anxiously awaiting the next installment of The Gryphon cannot arrive fast enough!I was gifted an ARC copy of this book by the author for an honest review.

AMAZING! I read Ascension by Stacey Rourke. I definitely recommend this book!! This is book #4 of the Gryphon series and it has everything! Fighting, romance, longing, humor, sarcasm, love, hate... you name it! The thing is, with the writing style I didn't get internal whiplash with the different emotions I was feeling. Everything made sense, even the big surprises in this book! This picks up with Celeste longing for Caleb. She is confronted by different beings wanting to fight the evil countess with the bait of getting Caleb back. She uses her gut and brute force with help from her family and Rowan to figure out who really to trust. She finds out major secrets that I definitely didn't see coming! The ending is 'spectacular' in it's own right! You'll have to read it to find out...

I just sat and read Ascension in one go, and I loved it! The rare spelling mistake made me cringe, but not knowing the actual ending was enough to make me want to growl lol. I loved the reveal of the Countess and the (valid) reason behind her hatred for the Gryphon's Conduit. I enjoyed the fact that everyone finally sees Celeste as the heroine - and the sadness with Alec, Caleb and Rowan is enough to make you want a fifth book!

Being VERY generous with rounding up from 3 & 1/2 stars. After being pulled into the story by the first 3 books, this has a different feel from those first 3. Even the cover doesn’t seem to fit with the first 3. Things are buzzing a long in this book really fast, so many mysteries are revealed, some are big surprises, others are big let downs. Some stupid mistakes are made, that were just sad. I really didn’t see some of them coming either. Celeste’s love triangle is just weird for me, I don’t like or comprehend triangles in the first place, 1 guy is enough trouble to cope with let alone 2! We finally get to the war, & it just didn’t feel right to me. In edition, it’s to short & then it’s done. I really wanted something different than what was written. I wanted closure, but it didn’t provide much of that. So for me the ending was very disappointing. It also felt like it was rushed, like the author just wanted to be done with it or something. But I guess I was kind of feeling that way myself. Poor Celeste, she’s put thru the wringer, emotionally & physically, a mere normal mortal would have committed suicide or been committed to an asylum by half of what she’s endured. So the memory wipe seemed appropriate for her, but also made the closure worse off. This book can definitely be left as an ending to a series if you want to be done with it, but then the author wrote 2 more books after this, not sure how they will play into the series.

Good versus evil Celeste has been told one to many lies. Showing up for Sophia’s funeral is Rowan who sold her out to Bernard and a bunch of bad gnomes. Now she finds out that the father they loved and buried 2 years ago is alive as a Council member. Celeste is in for the fight of her life to save her town and the ones she loves. A epic show down.

WowThis one was another emotion tugger, it has it's quirks, that's what makes the characters so likeable. But it certainly has moments of grief/sadness. I just need to dive into the next book, well after some sleep.

4.5. A few grammatical errors, but still a great story and a great continuation of the series. Plot:When we left off in Sacrifice, Gabe and Alaina had just gotten married, Sophia was killed, and Rowan betrayed Celeste, leaving her to die at the hands of a bunch of gnomes. In Ascension, Celeste is forced to make several decisions. As her war with the Countess is looming, she learns about the Countess’ history with the Gryphon. The history lesson, combined with another huge revelation, makes her wonder if she can believe in the Council. Her loyalties are further tested when she has to decide between helping Barnabus, who promises to reunite her with Caleb, or defeating him and securing the return of Alec. To make matters worse, Rowan reappears claiming to be on her side. Celeste has to choose which side to take in the battle, determine who can actually help her, and decide who to trust throughout the process. Characters:Poor Celeste…. She has the weight of the world on her shoulders. She remains strong with the help of her incredible family members and friends, but circumstances arise that divide the family, so we have to wait to see how strong their bonds really are to each other. Gabe, Keni, Grans and Alaina are as fun and lovable as we remember them, and Keni’s behavior is much improved this time around. Big Mike and Terin pledge their support, and the Dark Army Glee Club offers to fight with Celeste (and provide lots of comic relief for the readers). The Countess is still the big bad (or biggest bad in this case), but we find out why she hates the Gryphon so much. I actually felt a little sorry for her (for about three seconds). While we know that Celeste will make the right choice about the battle, her romantic choices are much less clear. Rowan is back, and like Celeste, we find it hard to trust him after his last betrayal. Even if she does, is it worth letting go of Caleb? (I love both guys, but if I had to choose, I would kick Rowan to the curb in a heartbeat.)There is also a major new character who helps Celeste understand why certain things have happened in her life and why she was chosen to be the conduit.Writing: The great thing about Rourke’s writing is her ability to bring out the humor in her characters without making the situation at hand less serious. As an additional bonus, even though there were some grammatical errors, the editing was much cleaner than in the previous installments. The Bottom Line:Ascension was pretty awesome. There were more action and humor in this one, so don’t be shocked that the romance is more on the backburner. The final battle was incredible; it reminded me of the high school graduation in the Buffy TV series.Several reviewers said that the end was confusing, that there was a major cliffhanger, and that they couldn’t wait for the next book to see how it was resolved. I could be wrong, but I didn’t see it that way. I thought it was more of a conclusion with a hint of what the future holds. Rourke said that she was writing more about the Garretts, but that her new books would focus on different characters. Regardless, because the ending is so abstract, I think both Caleb lovers and Rowan lovers will read what they want into it, so everyone will be happy.

Review also posted on Book Lovin' MamasAscension is the fourth book to the Gryphon series and it definitely is by far the best out of ALL the books(at least in my opinion it is) =)Stacey Rourke gives you an action-packed, nail-biting story that puts the Garretts in War against the Countess. Celeste will be put through the test in this book, literally and will end up dealing with more than she bargained for. She has to deal with the Council (who have actually kept a major secret from her and her family), the evil Countess (who just won’t give up and wants to make Celeste’s life difficult), and two sexy guys (who are fighting over her literally).Be prepared to learn so much more in this book about how Celeste became the Conduit and what needs to happen to the Conduit eventually. Stacey Rourke did a fabulous job building up to the very end of the book, where the big WAR happened. She gave us moments of crying and also moments of smiling. Let’s just say this book will make the Garretts realize, they need to come together to help save what they have.We do get the love triangle of Celeste, Caleb, and Rowan in this book and how the boys just won’t give up on winning over Celeste. They even tried to come to terms until after the major battle. Yup…definitely stubborn guys and poor Celeste has to keep telling Rowan, it will never happen. We also have the dark army Glee Club that I literally adore, even if sometimes they are evil. They always manage to crack me up and Celeste makes it even better with her sarcasm back at them. She definitely knows how to handle them with her witty marks back at them. They definitely are my favorites in the story. Can I just say…the definitely not what I expected at all, but it definitely left me in shock and now I need to find out what is going to happen next. =)(I’m still in love with Rowan though) Something about him won me over a long time ago. =)If you have not read this series yet, you need to. If you love a series that involves paranormal fantasy and you love a series that is like no other out there then you will enjoy the Gryphon series.I give this book 5 full moons and highly recommend it to young adult readers out there.I received a complimentary copy of the book for the blog tour in exchange for an honest review.

Review 6******I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. This is the fourth book in the acclaimed Gryphon series. WOW! Where do I start? I LOVED IT!!Celeste Garrett is a fantastic character! She is wittily sarcastic, and her mouth tends to get into trouble, but I really love this person! She is the Conduit for the Gryphon, and has had to make some extremely difficult decisions to save those she loves. Now she has to make a choice between what she wants and her destiny. Which one will she chose?First off, I would like to say that I LOVE the new covers for the series - they are fabulous! I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book, because I absolutely love this series! The story continues on from the end of Sacrifice and see's our heroine facing an even more challenging situation. Her heart is still heavy from losing the love of her life, and from being betrayed by one she thought to be on her side. Meanwhile, the Garrett clan are their usual selves, but I think that Gabe has grown into a wonderful man. Not that he wasn't before, but he has matured into his role as a guardian and protector. Kendall is still a girly girl, but she too has grown up slightly. Grams is a formidable woman, and I love her eccentricities. She may look garish, but she has a heart of gold under her bizarre attire (or lack of in some cases!). The Dark Army Glee Club make another appearance and had me giggling at their antics. There are some surprising twists in this tale that kept me hooked from beginning to end. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride! One moment I was laughing at a witty comment, the next I was in tears due to something happening. There is an amazing battle scene that completely enthralled me! This is a fantastic tale full of intrigue, love and betrayal that is wrapped up in the guise of a YA romance. I don't know if there will be another book in the series, but I sure hope so because the ending still left me wanting more!Stacey Rourke is one of my favourite authors. I love her writing style, which is fast paced and extremely fluid. She has truly turned me into a Condu-Nut! I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.I HIGHLY recommend this book (and series) if you love witty, sarcastic YA Romances filled with an array of various magical and mystical beings, namely lions, angels, gnomes, dragons, centaurs, demons and (of course!) Gryphons! - Lynn Worton

In this 4th book in the Gryphon series, we catch up with Celeste and her band of shapeshifting comrades on the brink of war. The Countess is back, and she wants the Gryphon dead. In this episode we actually learn WHY! (mini-spoiler: Turns out the Gryphon had inadvertently wiped out her whole family...)The demon Barnabus is willing to assist Celeste to defeat the Countess's army, but how much can you trust a demon, really? I mean, every demon she's ever put faith in has double-crossed her (looking squarely at you, Rowan!), well, except Caleb--who's loss she still mourns. Except Caleb isn't lost. He's mortal, but back. And ho ho! Her dad's back too! As the Council Master. It's a freak-out supreme when they meet which leads to imprisonment of her sister Kendall and her new sister-in-law Alaina on the Spirit Plane. Down two comrades, and with Rowan apologetically hounding her steps, Celeste does the one thing she can--destroys one of her enemies. With one army down, she can focus on the looming battle with the other. Some clever scheming later and she gets more help than she ever expects--defectors from the demonic side, as well as the phoenix conduit, Talia. And the Gryphon is raging at the Spirit Council's lack of support. He knows the danger Celeste is in--and funnels into her all the power she can handle in the effort to win the day for good.Of course, doing so might just render Celeste unable to live in the human world--much like Talia. It's a great capper to this series. A solid ending that actually satisfies, while leaving the door open for another book down the road. I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil. I'd recommend this book (and series) to any YA reader who likes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, squeaky-clean romance and fast-paced adventure tales.

Were do I begin? For starters if you haven't read the first 3 books you need to stop reading and buy them ALL - NOW! In the 4th installment of the Gryphon series Celeste is still longing for her handsome Irishman Caleb. Just when she's getting ready to pay her respect to her fallen friend, Rowan walks back into her life, ready to stand by her side till the end. Once she arrives on the Spirit Plane with her loved ones, Celeste is slapped with a shocking truth. As the story begins to unfold, will it be to much for her to handle? When Celeste gets a glimpse of the past and learns why the Countess is so full of hate, especially for the Gryphon, will it change how she views the Countess? With Gainesboro come under attack, Celeste bans together with some unlikely allies, including the Dark Army Glee Club members but has her family left her to fight this one on her own? Will Celeste be able to defeat the Countess or has her luck finally ran out?As with every other book in the Gryphon series there are so many twist, turns, ups, downs, laughs and tears. Stacey has a natural ability to write in a way that pulls you in from the first words and keeps you entangled in the story until the very last mark on the page. You certainly won't regret buying Ascension. My only advice - grab your favorite drink, get comfy and make sure you won't have any interruptions for a few hours as you get lost in another fantastic book from Stacey!

Battle looms. Three unstoppable forces prepare to clash in a colossal explosion that could wipe Gainesboro off the map. Fate and a sacred calling have landed nineteen year old Celeste Garrett in the middle with nowhere to run. Her trust wavers as she uncovers dark secrets of the Council, powerful enough to test her loyalty and turn her against those she swore to protect. Playing to the longing of her heart, a malevolent enemy uses her weakness against her to form an alliance. With the trumpets of war about to sound, which side will the Conduit choose, and who will be left standing? The Fourth installment of the Gryphon series is an amazing journey filled with SHOCKING plot twists that had me cursing all kinds of unrepeatable words. The Garret family is on their own relying on questionable allies to battle the Countess. Will these acts be in their best interest or will it turn and bite them in the rump? Ascension is filled with action, drama, humor, Strong female characters and an ending to have you clamoring for the next. Ascension is by far the best book in the series and I cannot wait to see in which direction Stacey Rourke, will take this fabulous cast of characters. <3 Wicked Reads Team <3

This was an excellent continuation of the Gryphon series. In the fourth book, Celeste has grown and continues to learn more about the past history of the Gryphon. There are many sad moments that invite the reader to look at things from a different way as Celeste struggles with deciding what is right and whose side to join. Though it all lies on her shoulders as the Conduit, she learns that she needs to believe in her friends and family and that they are there to help her as well. I loved how the book had just enough romance to keep the reader wondering, but still frustrating enough because Celeste is in such a position to decide who she wants to be with. This book had a great deal of action and heartache in it and it brings the reader even further into the world of the Gryphon. It was exciting to see things from the spirit plane and what is awaiting them at the end of their journey.I especially loved how the book leaves the reader wondering what will happen with Celeste now that the war is over.

First off I would just like to say that this have become one of my favourite series that I have read, but this book is the best of the bunch I enjoyed it so much. I mean where do I start…. Well like all the other books this one starts where the last has finished Celeste has a choice to make trust Barnabus or try to say Alec and get Caleb (swoon) back herself. Oh a Rowen is back also yaay, I love him, Celeste not so much she just wants to punch his face in; you can’t really blame the girl if you have read the last book you will know why. He vows that he will be at her side now no matter what and also to the end. After Sophia’s funeral Celeste, Gabe, Keni and Grams all get quite a shock and Celeste and Gabe walk out which makes them traitors to the cause. They continue to train and the celeste makes a little mistake that brings the battle to the forefront. Will Celeste get her team back? Will everyone survive? More importantly anyone get a happily ever after? Well you will habe to read the book to find out. I am actually sad to see this series end and I am hoping that Stacey will continue this series in the future (fingers crossed) I have loved every second of this series and every book has truly deserved its five stars that I have awarded  *WICKED READS REVIEW TEAM*

This book begins just where the 3rd one left off. Celeste and the whole clan are an absolute hot mess, but they still manage to have a few laughs. The Gryphon has been quite for the whole series, but he’s about to start answering some questions. While the Council can no longer be counted on, The Conduit and her posse will stand strong and save the day, or die trying. There is so much going on in the story that to try to sum it up would only confuse you and do no justice to this amazing story. Let me go ahead and warn you now that friends and enemies will die in the greatest battle Celeste could have ever imagined. Characters that you thought were gone will return while others you’re hoping will stop by, are officially laid to rest. This is the most serious and emotional book in this series, but like I said the laughs are still there, even up to point of making movie references while charging into battle. This book is just how this series should end. I am happy!I recommend that if you’re interested in this book, read the other three first, but as long as you have a sense of humor, you’ll be able to find something you like about this story. If you’re anything at all like me, you’ll love it.

Reviewer: BexRating: 4 out of 5 FairiesAscension is the fourth instalment in Stacey Rourke's epic Gryphon series. This read offers vivid action and amazing insight into a whole array of characters. The back stories weaved through Ascension successfully added a layer of depth to the characters and the plot, allowing Rourke's characters to become truly three-dimensional. Ascension was thoroughly entertaining and pushed the story along beautifully. Celeste especially grows into her powers and shows a new level of maturity and acceptance. All of this of course is entwined with the flawless humour and sarcasm. There are several head-spinning twists and moments where I was left quite verbally ranting at character reactions, all a testament to Rourke's ability to bring her world and characters to life. Book four is far less emotive and therefore not as emotionally engaging than previous books in the series, yet it's purpose and significance is no less significant. The series and the author are amazing. Keep them coming!Disclosure: This book was provided by the author in exchange for an HONEST and not necessarily positive review.

Holy cow, Batman!! I have been a diehard fan of the Gryphon Series from day one. As life sometimes does get in the way, it has taken me some time to be able to read what BETTER NOT BE the last book in the series.I forgot just how much I loved Mrs. Rourke's characters in this series. Celeste, Keni, Gabe, Alaina....and the boys, Caleb and Rowan....sigh....Just when I thought the onslaught of crazy that Stacey threw at Celeste couldn't possibly be worse, we have Ascension. I never imagined that Celeste could take the beating that she gets dished over and over again. But each time, she emerges, strong and more determined than ever. Her resolve and her love of her family keep her going. Something that no teenage girl should have to experience.I loved that Stacey brought it all full circle - finally connecting things that we've all been wondering about. Why Celeste? How was she chosen? What does the future hold? For her? For Caleb? For Rowan?I had tears, and laughs, OMG's and WTF's all the way through this book. And like I said, if this is the end - someone may get hurt.Well done as usual, Stacey!!! Well done!!!

A great conclusion to the Gryphon series. I loved getting to see the whole story come together and answers about the rivalry between the Gryphon and the Countess come to light. This book bought everything together for an epic showdown between the forces of good, evil and everything in-between. It was a bit faster paced than the previous books and was easy to get caught up in. There was plenty of action and plenty of sarcastic humour to keep me entertained and once again I found myself enjoying Celeste's inner monologue and quirky perspective on everything. I was a bit annoyed that the love-triangle with Rowan and Caleb was still sort of hanging around for most of the story, but I always felt there wasn't much of a decision for Celeste to make anyway. I was also a bit surprised at the ending and the way things were left open. I really wanted to know a bit more detail about how everything was going to work out but I guess there was enough implied. Overall - this was a great book and a great end to the series. I'd recommend picking this series up if you're looking for a unique humorous paranormal/fantasy read with plenty of action and a bit of romance thrown in.

I LOVE Ascension!I have a confession to make. I know Stacey is über talented, but I truly wondered how she could top Sacrifice. I mean that was like the whipped cream & cherries on our Gryphon sundae! will be happy to hear that we have been gifted the sprinkles & nuts to our now deluxe sundae, people!! ;*}I LOVE love LOVE this series!!!! She totally brought the awesome (as she always does) in Ascension! Forgive me for ever doubting you!! my defense...if you've read & loved this series as much as I then you KNOW how amazing Sacrifice was, & you will completely understand my momentary delusion. If you are new to the awesome that is Stacey Rourke then just know ... her books are fabulous, her characters so addicting you can't get enough, drama so afflicting you will feel it all, laughter so contagious concerned bystanders will stop to inquire, & "the end" may push you to bribery as you find yourself begging her for more. A hilarious action packed YA Paranormal Adventure of a lifetime with gryphons, demons, shifters, & so much more!

Book 4 of the Gryphon series starts with a creepy dream that Celeste has. The story picks up where it left off in book 3 and like in the other books, the action doesn’t stop. The Garret family has new joys, and new obstacles in the fight against evil. But in this one Celeste learns how it all started and has to wonder if she is fighting for the right side. This series is one of the best action adventure series’ I have read since the Maximum ride series. It keeps you on your toes and each book has new surprises in store for the conduit of the Gryphon and her family. I tore through this book in a couple of days and I thoroughly enjoyed the exciting continuation of the Conduit saga. I give this another 5 stars and am very eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. Write faster Stacey! Or at least give us a novella to tide us over. :)
