Sweet victory is a 70 pages epilogue of this's funny and sexy and the perfect closure for their story. Would love to read more about Lily and Calder though... if the spin off series featuring his sister has also parts of them, will love to read it!

Sweet Victory is EXACTLY what I look for in a novella. It was short, to the point, with a little drama mixed in, and an ending. A real ending! It was such a bonus to find out there was a novella to His Wicked Game Series; it is such a clever series with H-O-T scenes and great characters. One of my favorite erotic series reads ever… and that is saying something! If you have not had the pleasure have met Calder and Lily before, you’re in for a treat! They fight just about as much as they have sex and are complete opposites who found love in a tragic way. I think the author did an amazing job of connecting all the books together through games. Each book consisted of some type of game that helped build Lily and Calder’s relationship. Sweet Victory was no different and it was ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!! I was so giddy for them how Calder turned the games they play into much more.I will surely miss them and felt their story was not truly over at the end of Truth or Dare, after reading Sweet Victory I feel their story is now complete and I see where their future is going. Of course I want more but am extremely excited to start Louise’s story (Calder’s sister) and where her life goes from here. We are briefly introduced to Lou in Sweet Victory, before this she was off in Asia but her life seems very mysterious to say the least. I hope Lily and Calder make an appearance or two in her series. Sweet Victory was perfect! LOVED everything about it; it was like a giant bonus book and played out beautifully with the other two books in the series.I highly recommend His Wicked Games series to anyone looking for a fun, erotic read with a good heart and story to it as well. It was perfection!I give Sweet Victory (His Wicked Games #2.5) 4 Stars.Book provided by the author in return for an honest review.Stay connected with my reviews, book news and more:Blog- Jessica’s Book Review | Facebook | Twitter

Sweet Victory is exactly that, sweet. I stumbled across the His Wicked Games series back in July and I have been a little bit in love with it ever since. I can honestly tell you that it feels like Sweet Victory is Ember Casey's reward for her readers. It is everything I think a novella should be. I would read just about any situation Calder and Lily could find themselves in but Ember doesn't try to stretch this into a full length novel just to sell a book filled with fluff. She has given us a beautiful little look into the next phase of Lily and Calder.Lily and Calder continue to grow and now that they are officially a couple we see a more serious side to their relationship. As much as I enjoy Lily I have found her at times to be a little weak willed when it comes to Calder, but we really get to see some serious character growth in this story, especially after Lily gets locked out! Calder continues to show a more vulnerable side which just gives us more reason to love him. The game in this story is 20 questions, I admit, I think Lily could have done a little better with her questions but they were entertaining none the less.We get to meet a new character in this book and I'm kind of jazzed about the spin off that is coming out. Ember does a great job whetting our appetite for the new books. As always with Ember, we've been given a fast paced, sex and fun story and if you have read the Wicked Games series Sweet Victory is an absolutely must read for you!!!~Notte

Sweet Victory is like a big epilogue to the duology of His Wicked Games series..This book was short but so entirely filled with love and passion and emotion that it's hard not to love this book. And Calder. :PWhat this book is about is glaringly obvious from the start. It's just like a big foreplay for it.But it's cute and everything builds up to the perfect ending..I like how this series is not falling for a rich man or making the man rich again in the ending. It isn't that and it is so much more. It's making decisions and failing. It's falling in love and struggling. It's for all those who stood on their own. And for those who can identify the feeling of love and its capacity to the point that your heart feels like bursting to the full.Beautiful end to a beautiful story.

Awwww! More games, more sweetness, more vulnerable Calder, plus we got a small glimpse into Louisa and her relationship with Calder. I kinda suspected Calder's gift, but it was fun to watch them get there. Great follow-up.

This could have been added to book two. It was unnecessary. It's like an epilogue in another book.

A Must Read Sequel As a rule, I avoid novellas and short stories but I've so thoroughly enjoyed the first two books of the Cunningham Family that I had to finish Lily and Calder's story. No disappointment here. Great wrap up to a wonderfully complex and compelling romance.

This is the final book in the sweet/sexy Cunningham series. Lily & Calder take their relationship to the next level & move in together. On their first night Calder lets Lily know that he has a special gift for her, but she has to play to find it. In a seductive game of 20 questions Lily & Calder have some fun in their apartment, but their night is cut short when a knock at the door derails their quiet night at home. This is a fun, sweet novella with a healthy splash of drama to keep you intrigued. Loved this finale to a really great/fun series.

Alright folks, I guess here's the most awaited novella for the fans of Calder and Lily. Ember Casey has played it out well this time around. We were indulged by the provocative and sexy games of Calder only to know his underlying plan to know the honest feelings of Lily towards their relationship before he can pop the question. The story took place in an apartment that they finally live in together. Their day started by hauling all their boxes using three flights of stairs and they're basically exhausted and hungry at the end of the day. But that didn't stop Calder and Lily from exploring each other’s body and christening every room in the house.Their night started out so passionately and hot while playing the game but something happened that sparked doubt and pain during their night. Nevertheless, they continued their silly guessing game until Lily finally knows the answer. Well, I won't drop any more hints so read it for yourself folks. The ending was a great revelation and Calder indeed got the Sweet Victory from their game. I enjoyed reading this and I recommend this series to New Adult readers out there who are looking for a sweet and playful escape. FOUR STARS. CIAO.

All three books in this series were great (His Wicked Games, Truth or Dare, and Sweet Victory). I really, really liked this series. I had started reading a boxed set of ten books written by ten different authors. One of the books in that collection was His Wicked Games by Ember Casey. This was a first Ember Casey read for me, and I was so impressed with her writing after reading this book that I had to set aside the boxed set and immediately go and purchase the next two books in Ember's series and read them right away. The way Lily and Calder connect in this series had my attention from beginning to end. The second book--Truth or Dare--however, had me bawling like a baby almost the whole way through. I got so connected to these two, and my need for angst was totally satisfied. The final book, Sweet Victory, ended as it should have, and left me longing for more of these two characters. I am definitely an Ember Casey fan now, and I believe after you read these books you will be a fan too!Highly recommend for ages 18+.

Synopsis: "One night. One game. One wicked experience they'll never forget... It's Lily and Calder's first night in their new apartment--and Calder proposes a romantic showdown that's certain to leave both of them breathless. In a game like this, things are sure to get intense--but neither of them can be prepared for the surprises that await them as their ultimate game unfolds."My Review: Another great book, but I am really sad to say goodbye to these characters. I love the continued games that Lily and Calder play. I don't think the build up was quite as good in this one, maybe because it is a short novella and more of a transition to the next series. There was a nice twist that I wasn't exactly expecting but it is a great way to introduce new characters and a new series/continuation. I however don't think that I will continue with those next books simply because I really loved these three books so much that I don't want to spoil the experience with characters I don't think I will like as much.

See more of my reviews on my blog Thoughts At One In The Morning. My Thoughts:Ah! More of Lily and Calder? Oh yes! I loved seeing them in this novella, it was a shorter story, but still just as good as the rest of the series.Seeing them interact in one night, playing their little games again--I just can't get enough of Lily and Calder so everything was perfect. I was able to guess what was going to happen, but it didn't take away from the story for me in the slightest. I was pleased as punch to see the way it all came together in the end.Sweet Victory was definitely a sweet victory for Ember Casey. She knew how to keep their story going just a little bit longer, enough so we didn't have to say goodbye yet, and not too much so as to frustrate us with unnecessary plotlines. So, it was awesome. The only thing I'm sad about is it's the last book of this series, but at least there will be more by Ember! My Rating: Exceptional

Review posted at: 4 starsCalder and Lily are back at the games again! This is a short novella about moving into their apartment together and getting "comfortable" in their new life as a pair. This takes place several months after the ending of Truth or Dare. The connection between Calder and Lily is always steamy and hot but I found the stamina to be unrealistic in this one. Or maybe it's just me comparing too much to reality, I don't know. I enjoyed this novella thoroughly as I very much love Ember's writing, but a man's ability only goes so far ;) I can't wait to hear more about Lou in her spin-off series "Her Wicked Games" coming early 2014. If you want a quick steamy, sexy read...grab this one up. A perfect weekend read. Give this a try!!

Not as short as it seemsAlthough this is short the price was worth it and I didn't even miss the length. This novella really sets up the spin off series with Calder's sister Louisa while nicely finishing off the His Wicked Games series. So much went on during the one night their first night after moving in together that it makes this novella stand on its own. Reading this series you can see the writing grow and the progression of this author's talent. I have high hopes for her future and look forward to reading all of her books.

Short, steamy novella that gave me the conclusion I was looking for in Lily and Calder’s story. It also introduces the reader to Calder’s sister, Louisa, who has her own series I plan to read. Just like Calder, she’s not very amiable, but I’m hoping she redeems herself in later down the road like Calder did. Because I kind of wanted to punch her in the face in this novella. If you read and loved His Wicked Games and Truth or Dare, you’ve gotta pick this up. You won’t be disappointed and will love how their story ends. And, of course, there’s a little game involved…

I don't understand why they turn 1 chapter into an entire book just to finish off the series. Just add it to the previous book and be done with it. Unless Sweet Victory will forever be free for all customers, I would never knowingly give another cent. Ember Casey you just ruined this great series and I will not be reading any more of your books. If you're going to read this, you can do so in an hour without interruption.

This story made my heart all warm and melty. This was the best "game" and it really showed how vulnerable Calder is but his strength that he was able to overcome everything that has happened in his family. And the sexy, charming, arrogant Calder was back with his wickedly hot games. Lily is the perfect match for him.Loved it!

Sweet victory centers in lily and calders relationship but I have to be honest I love a good sexy book but.. I couldn't deal with this one. It was too much sex for such a short book, they didn't even do anything else.

There were still a lot of unanswered questions for me. Lily and Calder's relationship progressed but I was interested in learning more about Calder's emotional issue and his families financial woes. There could have been a lot more character development across all three books.

I loved this other insight months down the line into Calder and Lily's romance, it ending was just so romantic, I just love these guys. I liked the insight and introduction to Lou, Calders sister and am intrigued to read about her story in the next book.

Wonderful ending to Calder and Lily's story! I hated to see their story end. I read all 3 books this week and I now I don't know how I will ever get Calder and Lily off my mind. Can't wait to read the spin off.

This was the perfect ending to this intense romance. Short, sweet and to the point. Calder and Lily get their happy ending and we get a brief preview of how his sister, Louisa was affected by the Cunningham misfortune. Let the second series begin.
