Rock, Rattle and Roll, book 1.5 in Lost in Oblivion Series, is novella about Deacon and Harper, who have spent very little time together since they got “hitched” due to their careers keeping them apart and Deacon has arranged a short break from the band to take his loved one on a belated honeymoon.A secluded beachfront villa in Galveston, one of their favorite places in the world, is just the perfect place to be with each other. They spend their days in bed, making love, making more love, eating and drinking and making love again…….on the beach….making love again and again….yes, they do that a lot over such a few pages!!!! Quite a few surprises, a couple of twists. I enjoy this quick read….just wished that Harper hadn’t behaved like she did when she made that momentous discovery….but it was a sweet story. My favorite quote: And yay….can’t wait for the next book, Twisted. Finally getting Jazz (my fav band drummer ever!!!) and of course Gray…story!!!

A good story featuring Harper and Deacon on their honeymoon, with some twists and lots of sex! Now that would be nice, but it only covers the first half of this book. Everything is fine and suddenly a sad vibe penetrates the plot line with no apparent reason.Deacon and Harper are finally taking some time off and they start their honeymoon trip with the best intenions.. They have fun, sex, too much sex actually, they drink, they party they dance, and they have sex again..As good as it gets, right? Then why the sudden change? Why the whole over dramatic "is this marriage going to work" conundrum? I love a good drama but only when it's needed and has an additional element to the story.I understand why Deacon might feel betrayed in a way and hurt by Harper's reaction to her pregnancy, but isn't more important that they are together, in love, and they are finally starting their new life as a couple? There is time for everything, relaxe. At a point i felt it would have been better if i read 160 pages of them having sex in every surface like rabbits.. But the end was a nice save so ok..THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK- Some editing issues.- I hated Nick's reaction, what the hell.- Jazz is still my favorite.- DJ was a little too much for my liking, although highly entertaining.- Dual POV.ARC provided via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review. Thank you!

Currently Free together with novellas 0.5 and book 1 on Amazon -> http://amzn.to/1Tm8QTxA celebration of love, a time for tenderness and pleasure in an intimate and secluded place that holds special meaning to them. That was Harper and Deacon’s only objective. But “sometimes the cosmos, or fate, or God, whatever you want to call it… sometimes it has other plans.”I just love having more of my favorite characters. And getting a novella full of this delectable sexy couple is a treat. But it’s more than just them on their honeymoon, it’s them moving forward in their relationship and learning how to navigate together through life’s many twists and turns. “They still had their marriage training wheels on.”You may guess at the general plot line, it’s something I’ve read before but I liked that the tone is different. It’s set between fear and anxiety of the unknown and excitement for the future.Taryn and Carin bring back Deacon’s swoony and unique way of loving, Harper’s independence, their fun easy banter, their love for food. Overall they write a story full of beautiful depictions that make it come to life in a very vivid way. Together with the love and desire that these two wonderfully appealing characters make this an enticing and touching short story.“Deacon was her air. When life bombarded and suffocated, just the touch of his warm skin brought balance.” “She was exactly what he’d needed. Exactly what he’d been longing for before he’d even know what it was like to love.” This is also a great setting for what’s to come, leaving the door open for more stories of Oblivion’s colorful and eclectic band members. If you’d like to see all the inspiration for Rock, Rattle and Roll you can go here. * I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review from Netgalley. I LOVE Deacon & Harper! Loved getting this novella of their long delayed honeymoon. If anything, I fell more in love with Deacon. Talk about H.O.T. *whew* I enjoyed being the fly on the wall as they finally take a week to celebrate their marriage & love alone in a little beach house by the sea. The sex is frequent, erotic, and blows the top out of the Sex'Ometer! Holy Moly! I'd say "take a shower", but it's not any cooler in there with these two...some of those shower scenes are...*fanning self*...well, Steamy! But, it's not all fun & games in paradise as Deacon realizes something is amiss with Harper. You'll want to be there to watch as this couple works through their issues. Rock, Rattle, & Roll is another Page Burner in this series!

Just when you think you can't get any more of Deacon McCoy, here he is again. This picks up where Rocked ended and I won't get into details in case you haven't read it, but just know that this is the little piece of cake you were missing when the first book ended. If you're anything like me, you wanted just a little bit more to see how everything plays out for Harper and Deacon.I listened to this one. I've made it my mission to listen to as much Kai and Wen as humanly possible. At this rate, I'm not sure if I'll ever catch up, but I will try! I thank those two for bringing Deacon and Harper and the band of Oblivion to life. They've done a spectacular job. Again.

*Arc provided by Netgalley for a fair and honest review. This novella from the Lost in Oblivion series was a quick and hot view into the life of Harper and Deacon, post-wedding. On their honeymoon, no less, so you know that it is at least going to be interesting on one area. As you can tell from the title, it does delve into more than just sex though. On that note...I wish I could say more than this novella was more than just okay. That's all it was for me though, just okay. I am a little over the unplanned pregnancy trope rampant in this genre of books. It was handled slightly differently in this book, which was a good thing though. It added something that makes it stand out a little more. It's hard to write book that stands out despite following the same basic formula, but this author does manage to do that. Interesting characters and good writing make a huge difference. Anyhoo. If you were already a fan of the great chemistry inspired by Harper and Deacon, you'll dig this novella. It's just enough to keep your appetite going for more of the series.

Love and lust and emotion...This is actually the 3rd book in the series, even though it's numbered 1.5. So, in spite of the fact that it's much shorter than the others, and it left me hanging, I still loved it. The series is written so smoothly I can clearly visualize the antics of the band members. They have so much personality, and their witty banter is so amusing. Even when they are fighting, you still love them, just like you do your own family. There are so many possibilities, so many directions this series can go, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next installment. The authors have teased us with glimpses, secrets, emotions, fears, denial, and desperation. The love and passion between Deacon and Harper is beautiful, what we all hope for, but is it enough to overcome the obstacles that keep getting thrown in their path? Can the band members get past their feelings of betrayal? Will Margo come back into Simon's life? Will Jazz have to choose, or not? And the biggest question...is George really a girl?

Rock, Rattle & Roll is the third book in the Lost in Oblivion Series and after having read this, I can’t wait for more. Harper and Deacon are finally slipping away for their much needed honeymoon and the sheets are going to be set on fire. This may have been a short novella, but this was packed with heat and passion. Deacon is sexy, loving and I have dubbed him my newest book boyfriend. Loved every second of this story. I thought it was well paced, steamy and kept me panting for more.

Deacon is a bass player for a band that is up and coming getting ready to make a big tour ,but is wanting to spend time with his with his wife since they have not been able to go on a honeymoon or spend any time together in a while since she is starting a new business. Finally he shows up at her last job and tells Harper that it is all worked out for them to get away for a week. At first she is not wanting to leave but after a few minutes she is calm and realizes that she does need time off as well. They both need to be away and just be together skin on skin. Once they reach their destination that is what happens for the next four days barley taking a break for food and for a couple of nights at a local bar. On the fourth day Harper is not feeling good and she talks to a waitress that she meet at the bar. She finds out she is pregnant but does not tell Deacon for one full day and he knows the entire time that something is wrong with. Once she tells him he is frustrated that she waited to tell him, trying to get her out of always doing things by herself. They talk and she talks that night to the female member of the band, Jazz, to let her know and to voice her fears and concerns. The next morning after they talk he tells her though this was not planed everything will work out and she starts to feel better and they enjoy the last two days of the trip. One they get back into town they break the news to the band and everyone is happy except for one member who throws a fit and storms. The rest of the band is cool and Deacon says they will make the tour work. Then the book ends once again the same author as another book I read, you have to wait for the next book or who knows how many books to find out what happens and you have to wait months before the next book comes out. I really enjoyed the story and the characters once again from this author. I am just not a big fan of waiting for book after book for a story to finish. I know that for some people that is okay, but for me it is not. Too many people ask me to read their books so I can’t remember to look for a book months down the road. Other than that it was a good book. I got this book from net galley.

I fell in love with Deacon and Harper in Rocked and most of the band as well. I was ecstatic when I first found out this novella would be released shortly after I finished the book. I hadn't been ready to leave Oblivion behind yet, and Twisted, Jazz and Gray's book wouldn't be released until October 2014. This novella picks up slightly after the end of Rocked. I was so happy to see Harper and Deacon doing well. I was a little surprised and delighted at how hot and heavy the two were on their honeymoon. I was a little concerned that's all I was going to read for over a hundred pages, but I shouldn't have been. Taryn and Cari definitely brought their story telling flare to Rock, Rattle & Roll. When I finally found out what was going on, I was rocked (no pun intended). I love the sensitivity with which both Harper and Deacon treated the new hurdle they were facing. Things could've turned out differently and broken both of them apart, but I'm so glad they didn't. I think one of my favorite scenes/dialogues is between Jazz and Harper. Jazz gave Harper some really solid and sound advice we all need to remember at times. At the end of the novella there was an excerpt of Twisted, I loved and sort of wished wasn't included. It wasn't that it was bad, but just that I really wanted to read the rest of Twisted and I wasn't able to. I will be keeping my fingers crossed the book will be available in October. If you haven't checked out this series, you should, but start with the prequel novella Seduced, you won't regret it!

4 "Just what you have always wanted stars"This book takes up shortly after the first book in the Oblivion series and is a novella giving you more of Deacon and Harper's story. What I loved is that you get what you want. To explain, when I finish a book about a couple I have enjoyed I find myself wishing we could get just a little more. I often want to know what happens next. Even in a series, we normally only get a glimpse of a couple again and never the details we are craving. Well this novella gives you the details. After a crazy schedule has ensued, Harper and Deacon take a break and take the honeymoon that never happened. We get more of the steamy scenes that filled their first book and we get to enjoy them as a couple a little longer. Then of course something comes along to mess up their perfect time together. I had mixed feelings on everything that goes down. At first glance, Harper really bothered me with the way she handled everything. But with more thought I realized her reaction was probably spot on. This couple, though married, really doesn't know that much about each other as it has only been a few months of time spent together. Keeping that in mind, I guess I understand why she freaked. Like the other books, this one intermingles itself with the band as well and more of the tension and drama that is most likely to come in the rest of the series is palpable. On a side note, the end of this book contains some bonus scenes including the memorable trio moment in the prequel. Can't wait to see what Jazz and Gray's story will be.Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As the third book in the Lost in Oblivion series, Rock, Rattle & Roll is yet another home run. These two authors, Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott are incredible individually, however, when they team up, they cannot miss. This novella is the story of Deacon and Harper's honeymoon and is anything except run of the mill. The steam and the emotions, the feels, are off the charts and some of the lines in the book are so descriptive, I thought I was there with them. The incredible writing and the rocky and tender story made me want to BE Harper. At the same time, I wanted to knock her upside the head, as I did Nick, and wanted to hug her tight at the moment she found out....well, I'll leave that to the writers to tell. As for Deacon, that manster is my favorite book boyfriend and wish that I had a man, much less a rock star, in my life that was that compassionate, sweet, hot and oh god, tender as he is....not to to mention a rock star in bed. DAYUM!All in all, this one is a book that I will reread on a regular basis. Looking forward to book four, Twisted, in the fall!!!

Deacon and Harper finally get to take their long-delayed honeymoon after a jam-packed schedule for both of them. What begins as a wonderful getaway turns into another moment of crisis. While it was wonderful to continue my love affair with this couple, it didn’t wow me like their longer story. I have to admit skipping some of the steamy moments as they seemed to dominate this book, even though part of that was relevant. Still, just more than the length of the book dictated. The conflict was completely in keeping with the characterizations of Deacon and Harper and I liked how it played out. I’m looking forward to what’s next for Oblivion and how Deacon and Harper manage their future. This series just really works for me. 3.5 stars(I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)

I loved the first book in this series and was so pleased to carry on the story of Harper and Deacon. After a manic few weeks Harper and Deacon finally get their honeymoon but after struggling to spend any time together challenges face their relationship needs a little work. Loved the characters and the story, I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

Until the future once again comes much quicker than they expected, threatening to crumble not only their perfect honeymoon but also their brand new marriage.Okay. Here's the deal. I loved it. Now, Megan had some issues with how Harper reacted to some things and we got into a big argument about it. (Yes, we do argue over fictional characters. Regularly.) I can't tell you our exact argument because it would involve a massive spoiler. However, just know that I am right and she is wrong. So there.Seriously, though. I found Harper realistic and believable. I wish she had handled things differently, but I didn't find her reaction out of character for her. When she's freaked, she runs. Deacon is strong and stoic. That's just how they are. But that's really all I can say about that w/o getting into spoilerific details. Just know that while I didn't LIKE it, I understood it."Do you realize I haven't been inside you in four days?"Otherwise, this was an awesome glimpse into the life of Deacon and Harper as a married couple. They're still having smokin' hot sex. (I mean, SMOKIN' HOT.) and they're still adorable together. There's a night when they get drunk and rowdy in a bar that just had me giggling. I might, maybe, occasionally get drunk and rowdy too, so I loved it. I would definitely hang out with Harper and have a great time."Man, lucky girl. How'd you bag Mr. Universe?"Harper pushed her shades up into her hair. "Coconut chocolate popovers."I also loved that Harper went to Jazz when she needed to really talk. It made them seem more like family. Plus who doesn't love Jazz (MAN, I'm so ready for her book!) so getting a little snippet of her awesomeness was a major bonus."You're not alone anymore. You'll never be alone again."The only thing I'm taking .5 off for is some continuity stuff and a few editing details. Plus it's short. I needed more! I think it's very, very hard to get me to a level 5 love in a novella. That being said, I stayed up until dawn one morning reading this because I was "just going to read one chapter to settle my brain..." and that was all she wrote. Literally, I read all she wrote. It was a good thing my kids were out of town so I got at least a few hours of sleep after that."Congratulations on fucking for a week straight.""God, you're such an ass." Simon rose off the couch, two party hats on his head like horns. "It's congratulation on making love for a week straight."I will say that if you liked Rocked, I think you'll like this. There are some controversial moments in it and maybe you'll side with Megan on Harper's handling of things (TRAITORS!) but I also think you'll be smiling by the end and it's worth the read."I'm sure about you. I'm sure about us."Smut Factor: 5 stars- Had to wake my husband at 2am to quench my “need.”Character likability: 5 stars- He’s my book boyfriend and I want to BE her.Storytelling: 5 stars- I wake up thinking this really happened.Writing and editing quality: 3 stars- A few errors, but nothing that took away from the story.

Rock, Rattle and Roll, Rock Star Romance, Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott. Review from jeannie zelos book reviewsThird book in series, ( though it's 1.5 – a novella) and it focusses on the fast moving romance between band member Deacon and chef Harper. We met them in the last book, and I loved that. Their romance hasn't been without it's hurdles though, and poor Harper has barely paused for breath with Deacon determined to get her tied to him before she changes her mind :-) Now the band are signed up with new label, an album to come up with, another tour coming up and Harper is having great success with her new business too. It means the newlyweds are barely seeing each other, just passing like ships in the night. So, Deacon arranges a week alone at one of their favourite spots. What a guy he is, he's so thoughtful, so loving especially when we know he's not had that in his own background. Harper adores him, but isn't afraid to argue when she disagrees but how can anyone disagree with this? She's a terrific person too – really sees and understands Deacon. He's not just the tatted, hunky, band member but a man first, band member second to her. So, there they are having fun, enjoying the setting, and can't keep their hands off each other when – bam- something comes up to throw yet another hurdle in front of them. And this one is massive, one there's no way around but which they need to make some fierce decisions...quickly. It's a read so full of emotion, and I understood both of them and their reactions. From that point and as a novella it works but...for me it's a sexy, erotic read but somehow it didn't have that magic spark. I think maybe its that I love so much the first flutterings of a romance, that will he/she or won't he/she feeling...is there attraction, is either of them going to make a move – all that stuff, and here we've Deacon and Harper already in a relationship, passed that bit. I'd have loved this novella as part of a larger book but on its own it just beomces an OK read for me. I'm sure others will 5* it, but we're all different and though as always its well written and plotted it just didn't do a lot for me. Stars: Three ARC provided by Netgalley and publishers.

This is the continuing story of Harper Pruitt and bass guitarist Deacon McCoy.The premise follows Harper and Deacon as they set out on their delayed honeymoon. Harper’s catering business leaves little time for her new husband and Deacon is a man who knows life on the road is about to get much busier. The continuing relationship between Harper and Deacon is one of sensuality, steamy sex and arousal. There is no stopping Harper while on her honeymoon-her libido is in overdrive and there can only be one explanation-one that she isn’t too happy to find out.ROCK, RATTLE AND ROLL is a realistic look at two people unprepared for everything life has to offer. There are moments of intense pleasure and intense anxiety, but through it all Deacon McCoy is a man who loves Harper Pruitt above everything else.Copy supplied by Netgalley.www.thereadingcafe.com

Slick‘s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews5 STARSReview copy provided for an honest reviewreviewedby-SlickSo Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn sucked me in with Seduced, the hooked me with Rocked, and now after reading Rock, Rattle & Roll I’m like a junkie waiting for my next fix. With each book I become more enamored with this cast of characters even though I want to punch one or two now and again but even so, I am a total Oblivion groupie! In Rocked we watched Oblivion’s bassist fall in love with one of the tour’s caterer; I fell head over heels in love with Deacon and Harper was the perfect match for him. Married a short time, they are finally getting away for a short honeymoon before the craziness of the holidays set in.Hot damn this was one sexy book, these two have been busy with Deacon working on the new album and Harper getting her business of the ground so they are making up for lost time and enjoying every moment of being alone together. So many hot moments and the one in the hammock totally made me smile and reach for a tall glass of iced tea to cool off! Whew! While they enjoy exploring the physical aspect of their relationship, they are still new in their relationship and when Harper has a moment of uncertainty it causes some strife they have to deal with. Harper fall back into her “I can take care of myself” ways and while Deacon is understanding for the most part, that doesn’t mean he’s not hurt but he realizes that what she needs is his support not his anger. While this is a novella, it packed quite the punch and it definitely threw another wrench into this band’s plans, but that’s what makes this series entertaining; you just never know what’s going to happen next! This book is a follow-up on Deacon and Harper from ROCKED. The after-the-HEA as I tend to call them. I love atH stories even more than epilogues as they're kinda epilogues on steroids that totally satisfy my need to see how a couple is doing after their own book reaches the last page and achieves the HEA. Deacon and Harper are married but their professional obligations are keeping them apart. Deacon decides it's time for their long-overdue honeymoon and arranges a week-long getaway. During this week something happens that will change their lives forever. I really enjoyed this atH story. The writing was as awesome as I'm used to from Taryn and Cari. It was emotional and sexy and a wonderful addition to this series. I'm looking forward to what else there's in store for us in the Lost In Oblivion series. Memorable Scenes:I have several but due to spoilers I won't mention them here as they surround a certain event you don't want to know ahead of reading this book. Favorite Quotes:She coasted her hand down his chest and belly, then cupped his erection.“I had such plans.”The nip of her nails through denim made him hiss. “Jesus.”“I prefer when you moan my name. Tonight I’ll make sure it’s the only word you can say.”She rocked back against him, his solid strength made her feel safe and loved, and his growing hardness at her lower back brought out the urgency from earlier to the forefront. How he always managed to bring both out at the same time shouldn’t surprise her anymore, but each kiss dragged her into the storm that was Deacon. Sometimes a shelter in her own stormy mind, and sometimes he was the cause of her turbulent emotions. Love, lust, and comfort tumbled around her chest in a never-ending cycle.

Life with a rockstar can be non-stop action, and, when you add in the craziness of starting your own business, well, things just get even more hectic. Since the beginning of their whirlwind relationship and ensuing marriage, Deacon and Harper McCoy have barely had time to catch their breath, or any privacy to do so. But something's got to give, so Deac is whisking his lovely bride away for some R&R, filled with sun, sand, and, oh, yes, plenty of that. The days and nights in beautiful Galveston, TX, are just what the doctor ordered, and Deacon and Harper are finally able to enjoy their honeymoon and much-needed couple time. But these two have never taken anything slowly, and when Harper realizes that life is about to change again, and in a very permanent way, she and Deacon will have to make some decisions that will affect every part of their relationship.I love this series, and every character in it. Cari and Taryn are two of my favorite authors, and they always make me feel like I'm coming to hang out with friends when I open one of their books. The Lost In Oblivion books are ones that I inhale from the first page every single time, and am completely invested in. As the follow-up to SEDUCED, the first book in the LOI series, ROCK, RATTLE, & ROLL is the perfect little read to keep us up to date with the lives of these characters. 5 hotter than hot, love-filled, sun-drenched stars for this one. I highly recommend the whole series, as well, which is not to be missed.***ARC generously provided for an honest review***

Touring with the band Oblivion has kept Deacon McCoy from his new wife. After a whirlwind romance with Harper, they decided to tie the knot despite the knowledge that their careers would keep them apart. Harper has dove head first into her catering business. The couple rarely has time to see one another or even sleep in the same bed. Determined to make up for lost time, Deacon schedules the duo a belated honeymoon. The two travel to Texas to unwind and spend their down time catching up (and having lots of sex) before his new tour begins. The two bask in the privacy they find in their beachfront rental home. Savoring every touch, taste, and nuance of their time together. When Harper discovers that she isn’t her usual self, things will take a drastic turn in their relationship. Decisions will be made that affect their future….something neither was prepared for. This latest installment in the Lost in Oblivion series was quick but full of content. Despite being a fan of the series, I found this book a little ‘obnoxious’. The reactions written in regards to Harper were questionable and a little insane. Although the couples entire relationship has been ‘rushed’, I just didn’t connect with the way this twist to their story was laid out. Now, this will not keep me from reading more in the series. NO way!! There are sneak peeks into the next book that will leave you desperate for more.
