The Season of Forever Reviews
This book was everything I thought it would be. I've read all Brenda's books and once again this book hooked me in. To see how the characters have grown and settled into their life. I was so happy for Blake and Ginger and loved their story. Watching him struggle was riveting. Made me want to slow down and savor everything. Taking the trip back in time to see some of Beth Ann's family was amazing. Brenda wrote it with such style and you felt as though you had stepped back in time. I loved Grandma Anne, and still hoping to find those family secrets. Can't wait for book 7
I started reading this wonderful saga when it was recommended to me by a fellow reader. I hesitated at first because I thought: romance? That really isn't a genre I have any interest in. I can honestly say now I am glad I gave this author a chance. Romance is just the tip of what Mrs. Barry brings us in her writing. A wonderful combination of drama, humor, romance and even a touch of intriguing suspense and thrills. Its all here, brought to the page in a heartwarming, wholesome prose, that has become the author's trademark. You will grow with these characters. You will know these characters. You will learn to love these characters like they are your own family and friends. Mrs. Barry leaves a hint at the end of this book that there will be a seventh...a revelation I welcome and applaud. This saga is too good to end...
This book was one of my favorite yet in the Saga. Going back in time and spending more time with Blake and Ginger who I love. There were happy moments and sad moments. There were also moments that made me laugh out loud. Loved the scene between Blake and Beth Ann when he asked her for the favor. Thought it was funny and tastefully done. It was great to see Frankie being an attorney and in action. The cliff hanger made me happy to hear that will be a book seven. The waiting will be tough, but I can always start all over again. Love it.
Brenda did a fabulous job tying everything up and bringing it together. I loved seeing Blake find his forever girl even though he had to get through some left over hesitations. I still want to know what happened to Denny and how she got into the situation she's in? I enjoyed seeing Frankie work his craft in the courtroom. I felt bad for Ginger for what she had to endure during the trial. Maybe there'll be one more book.
I thought this story was fantastic all the characters felt so factual the imagery are captivating it is certainly a page-turner and wonderfully written. I loved Ginger and Blake coming together it was remarkable. I recommend this book filled with drama, love, heartfelt moments it's a must read.
I've been with this series from the beginning, so all the characters are like old friends to me. It's been so wonderful watching them grow and change into the special people they've become, and I was thrilled to find out at the end of this book that the saga isn't over yet! Author Brenda Barry has a talent for giving every character their own story and making you feel for them, but Beth Ann and Kaylob will always be my favorites. So happy that I'll get to see them again in book seven!
