ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest reviewI have two confessions to make. First, I am Vi Keeland addict. Second, forgive me romance book world, I have sinned and fallen in love with Professor Caine West. Yes, I am torn in who is my favorite Vi Keeland hero. I just can’t pick one because Professor Caine West has sung all the right notes when it came to winning my heart. There is no mistaking about it Beautiful Mistake will have readers swooning and singing the praise of Vi Keeland. Beautiful Mistake is an utterly spellbinding symphony of sweet, sexy, sophisticated and swoonworthy romance. This book had my attention right off the opening pages which is no surprise since Vi has always held me hostage with her smart, sassy, and sexy writing and charasmatic characters. Right away, Vi introduces her readers to a feisty, sassy, and spirited heroine who has no qualms of making her presence known. When Rachel Martin accidentally goes off on a guy mistaking him for the guy who broke her friend’s heart, she didn’t think she would ever see him again. Well as fate as it would have it, the stranger turns out to be Professor Caine West.Maybe I couldn’t get you out of my head because you’re supposed to be there. ”Rachel Martin is a graduate student and when one her assigned Professor passed away, she was assigned to new a professor. Little did she know, stranger guy at the bar is Professor Caine West. Since they got off on the wrong foot, Rachel immediately apologizes to him. Soon Caine and Rachel found themselves forming a friendship of some sorts even though they are both sexual attracted to one another.Caine West is drawn to Rachel. There is just something so hypnotic and magnetic about her that he can’t stay away from her. He is well aware that he is all wrong for her since he has a torrid past of infidelity. But whenever he is with Rachel, Caine crosses that forbidden line each time he interacts with her. When Caine learns of another man pursuing Rachel, he finally makes it known to her that she consumes his thoughts and he wants her badly.Ahhhh… yes that’s the only emotion I can come up to describe the moment when Caine and Rachel finally crossed that invisible line. Everything about this couple screamed SCORCHING HOT!!! Yes, it was magnetic, palpable, tangible, intoxicating, curl your toes romance!! Seriously, if you ever read a Vi Keeland sex scene then you are all aware this author can make you blush and swoon hard. It was the most decadent, erotic, beautiful feeling in the world as Caine eased inside. So many emotions overwhelmed me. My eyes welled up as the music hit its crescendo and Caine buried himself deep— filling me in so many ways. I’d been on the edge of glory for so long, it didn’t take long for the throb inside of me to start. His thrusts were hard, driving in and out with powerful movements that brushed my clit on each downward glide. My world began to splinter as I headed toward climax, everything and anything falling away as my sole focus became the two of us— this moment. ”As Caine and Rachel got to know each other on a very intimate and emotional level, readers will discover Caine has a secret that could hurt Rachel. What is this secret that could tear this couple apart? And will Rachel and Caine be able to survive it? Beautiful Mistake is a book that you must read if you are a Vi Keeland fan. This book had everything from friendship, family, love, passion, healing, and second chances. Vi Keeland will not disappoint her readers as the writing was fantastic. Every raw emotions were beautifully blended into the storyline giving readers to feel for her characters. I absolutely adored and loved this sweet story and so I highly recommend you to go pick up this book now. The only mistake you will be making is missing the opportunity of meeting Professor Caine West.Vi Keeland

*****FOUR STARS*****{ARC Generously Provided by Author}”You’re that song, I don’t know any of the words, but the tune is so damn familiar.”I understood what he meant. I’d felt a connection from the first time we met, too. I didn’t want to scare him, but whatever was between us had always felt bigger than me—bigger than us.Readers be warned, Vi Keeland’s latest standalone will have your temperatures rising to dangerous levels because of the scorching hot steam that the two main characters generate whenever they are together! Get ready to be dazzled by the decadently handsome and dirty talking Caine West. This man is a sexy Professor with an insatiable libido and has sexual skills that rival that of Christian Grey’s!Rachel Martin is a grad student who is studying for her masters in musical therapy at Brooklyn College. She works part time at a local bar to help pay for her tuition. Her best friend also works at the bar and one night after their shifts are over, her bestie’s ex, who turned out to be a douche since he conveniently forgot to mention that he was married, shows up at the bar and tries to make the moves on Rachel. She gives him a verbal lashing only to be mortified later on when her friend confirms that the guy she cursed out was not the ex-boyfriend. It seems that fate is playing a cruel trick on her because the next day she meets the Professor that she is to be a TA for and it’s none other than Mr. Hottie from the bar.Caine West has lived quite an exciting life. He used to be the drummer in a famous boy band but a few years later they went their separate ways when the lead singer became addicted to drugs. Now at thirty-one he is one of the most despised and feared professors at Brooklyn College, known for his moodiness and zero tolerance for lateness. When Rachel appears in his class it is both a blessing and a curse for Caine. He can’t deny the insane attraction between them and for some strange reason, which he noted when they met at the bar, Rachel seems so familiar to him. But this new development is a problem for him because he does not get romantically involved with students or TA’s. He tried it once before and it ended terribly. The chemistry between them is just too intense and Caine can’t get enough of Rachel’s fiery attitude. Waiting for these two to give in to their growing lust for each other was almost beyond agonizing for me. I found myself getting irritated with Caine every time he would lose control with Rachel but then quickly put on the brakes the next day. It was seriously maddening. The story is told through alternating POVs which also included several chapters from Caine’s past which could end up destroying the couple’s chance at an HEA before they even get started. 4 Beautiful Stars!(I buddyread this book with my lovely bookish friends Bea, Rachmi, and Felita. Click their names to view their lovely reviews/thoughts.)There's more to Beautiful Mistake than meets the eye. Although it was light-hearted and there were scenes that made me laugh, it also had an adequate amount of drama that pulled my heart into so many directions. What I loved most about this book, of course, was the substance and Vi Keeland is really famous for that. The book begins when Rachel Martin randomly met a hot stranger at the bar that she works for, mistaking him for the guy who had an affair with her co-worker and friend Ava. Knowing that the guy deceived her friend and pretended that he's single, she naturally lashed him out. But it's too late when Ava confirmed to her that the guy she verbally attacked was actually not the one she's supposed to approach. Embarrassed, Rachel forced herself to forget her encounter with the stranger and moved on. But on her first day of school at Brooklyn College as a teaching assistant, she saw the hot stranger again and found out that he's the music Professor Caine West and he's going to be her thesis advisor. The great characterization, beautiful writing, and established plot progression made this book a standout. I loved that Rachel and Caine's first encounter was awkward and hilarious and that the later parts of the book moved in a series of hot and dramatic scenes. Both characters are imperfect in so many ways and they have scars from their past. These things made me appreciate how real and raw they are. Their romantic development was slow and there was a little push and pull, but I did enjoy every bit of their journey. There was a plot twist that happened in this book and I must say, it was very well thought out. But I hate to say that it was also predictable because I already foresaw the hidden twist to the mystery and there was no more surprise when it was revealed.Story and plot wise, Beautiful Mistake is one of Vi Keeland's best books up to date. I enjoyed a lot of her books and this one is no exception. The chemistry between the characters, the drama, the hot and sizzling romance-- they're enough to overdose you from the swooning!“You've always had my heart, and I don't ever want it back.”

To be honest, I´m kinda disappointed, but not really sure why..“We all make mistakes. Life doesn’t come with instructions. Someone who loves you will forgive you for them. But when you hide them or lie about them, they’re no longer mistakes—they’re decisions.” Beautiful Mistake is a standalone romance novel by Vi Keeland with a dual point of view. Rachel and Canie first encounters at a bar where Rachel gives him a wrongful tongue-lashing, thinking he lied and cheated on her best friend. Leaving the bar without an apology, Rachel doesn´t think she´ll ever see the handsome stranger again, but when she goes to work as a teaching assistent the next day, it´s none other than Canie she´s going to work for. Cue tension.I put the phone away and felt eyes on me as I patiently waited, but frowning uses more facial muscles than smiling, and this jerk wasn’t worth a wrinkle.Rachel is a sweet, smart and feisty main character who´s usually late and speaks her mind even when she knows she should´nt. It´s safe to say that her flaws were definitely relatable for me. I liked her for the most parts, but found her a little clingy towards the end. Caine on the other hand, who is compared to a greek model, is unapologetic, cocky and gruff for most of the story, and to be honest I felt rather neutral about him. Sure he´s hot and good at dirty talk, and I liked that he was upfront about most things, I just didn´t find him swoonworthy. I couldn’t help myself. I was, after all, feisty. “You’re really an asshole, you know that?” Caine froze, buttoning his shirt. “I believe you’ve told me that before, so yes, I’m aware I’m really an asshole. What I’m surprised about, though, is that you don’t seem to be as aware of it as I am, yet you’re the one who likes to remind me of my asshole status.”The blurb pretty much sums up chapter one and tells you nothing about the continuing storyline (besides the obvious love interests), which may have made me expect something different from what I got. Early on the story definitely took a turn I didn´t see coming, bringing in themes like domestic violence and drug/alcohol abuse, but it was pretty clear where it was going, and I found myself wishing for a twist or a surprise that never came. My biggest problem though- I didn´t care. I was never exited to reach the climax and even though I found the characters to be likeable, I never cared about them. Perhaps it was just the wrong time to be picking up this book, and I think a lot of my goodreads friends will love Rachel and Canies story. But in the long run, it’s better to hurt someone with the truth than make them happy with lies. Because she can make the decision to move on with the truth. Lies keep you stuck in place.”

“This feels… right.”His eyes searched mine. “It does. As much as I fought it, and it’s against every rule at work, nothing’s felt this right in a long time. Maybe I couldn’t get you out of my head because you were supposed to be there.”HOLY SQUEEEEEE!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVED this book!! It was HOT, SEXY, SWOOOOONY, and yet also FULL OF FEELS!! When I first started reading it, I was completely enjoying it - I felt totally wrapped up the story and was loving everything I was reading. But then came... an unexpected TWIST!!! One part of the story connected with another in a way that I didn't see coming and OH MY GOD from that point on, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!!! I was flipping those pages so fast I barely stopped to breath! I smiled, swooned, and got choked up with emotion. And the epilogue brought happy tears to my eyes. I've loved many of Vi Keeland's books over this years but I can say with full certainty that this is my favorite book she's written! I highly recommend it as a TOP FAVORITE!!Vi Keeland is one of my go-to authors. I always look forward to her new book releases because after having read so many of her books, I know that I'm almost certainly going to love them. In fact, when I first started reading this book, I got to chapter three because realizing that I hadn't even read the blurb — which is a pretty big deal for me because as a reader, I like to know exactly what I get into. There is a very small selection of authors whose books I'll read without even finding out what they're about first and I guess Vi Keeland just became one of them! I think the best way to describe exactly why I love her writing is because it's effortless. You don't feel like she's trying to hard, but you can tell that the book is both well written and edited. The story flows smoothly and there are generally no good stopping points. Her books are easy to read and yet carry a wonderful balance of sexiness, humor, and emotion. They're both light-hearted and yet grounded by serious feels. I usually find her heroine's relatable and her heroes dreamy but characterized in a way that makes them feel believably real. For all these reasons, she's easily one of my favorite romance authors and I'm always excited to read her new books.Anyways, I'm rambling. Here's what this book is about:The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy. Oops. My mistake. Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology. I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right? That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant. I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking. Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West. This was going to be interesting…So of course this story starts off with the heroine being shocked to discover that the mystery man who she mistakenly gave a tongue lashing to in a bar was actually her new boss/professor. But her first real surprise came when she dug into his past and discovered that he used to have a different name and a whole other life before becoming the sexy, yet infuriating, professor she was now swooning over. “You didn’t answer my question. How old are you?”“Old enough to be your professor.”… “So, what? About sixty then?”“I’m thirty-two, wiseass. Are you happy?”I smiled. “I am, actually.”He slipped his glasses back on and returned to the menu.I leaned in. “You don’t look a day over thirty-one.”He shook his head and continued reading, but I caught the corner of his lip twitch.Their attraction to each other was however tempered at first by the professional lines between them. She was his TA and he was her professor. There were rules in place and somehow things kept pulling them apart. But even though they both knew they shouldn't give in, they desperately wanted to.When I looked up, he was staring at me. “Christ. Are you trying to get me fired?”“What?”His eyes moved back and forth between mine. “You really have no goddamn clue, do you?”And OHHH MY PROFESSOR WEST!! When their chemistry did finally reach a breaking point, let me just tell you that things got HOT HOT HOT! Any of you looking for a steamy sexy romance will certainly not be disappointed!“Don’t ask for something you don’t want. I’m warming you.” He took a step closer, invading my personal space. His pupils were dilated, and he looked angry as hell, but there was something lurking just beneath his dark gaze — desire.I tilted my head coyly and leaned in. “Who says I don’t want it?”I also loved the deeper and more emotional undertones to the story that tugged all my heartstrings and brought a wonderful balance to the otherwise lighter side of this romance. “Do you have any scars?”“No visible ones,” he said. “Although the invisible scars are the hardest to heal.”And then.... OMGGGGG!!! There is a TWIST to this story!! Ok wait, I need to back up for a minute. And don't worry, I won't spoil anything. So, as you read, you'll see the story is mostly told in present day and it's about Caine and Rachel's story. But there are a few other chapters mixed in from Caine's past sixteen years ago that are painful and heart-wrenching and real show you a whole other side to this character. Now, I thought they were just there to flesh out the story and all, BUTTTTTTTTT. There's a twist. A connection. A holy-shit-omg moment. And that's all I'm going to say on the matter because I don't want to take away YOUR surprise moment when you read the book. But just damnnn I didn't see it coming and I LOVED the extra depth it gave the story. I literally got chills and could not put the book down from that point on!!!Fuck!FUUUUCK!… I closed my eyes and let my head spin some more. How do I find out?How do I find out? This is definitely one of those books I want to make everyone read because I'm so excited to see their reactions to the story too! It's like one of those books you want to tell your friends to read and "keep you posted" as they're reading so you can experience their reactions too.He read my goofy smile. “What?”“This feels… right.”His eyes searched mine. “It does. As much as I fought it, and it’s against every rule at work, nothing’s felt this right in a long time. Maybe I couldn’t get you out of my head because you were supposed to be there.”Now, this is the seventh book I've read by this author so I'm speaking with some background here when I say that, in my opinion, this is Vi Keeland's best book yet!! It was a truly fantastic read and definitely one of my top favorites of the year! I highly recommend this to everyone looking for an amazing book to fall in love with!Rating: 4.5+ STARS!! You might consider this an office romance of sorts. I would classify this as a hooking page-turner, that’s sexy, original and touching. Vi Keeland comes through with yet another appealingly clever story balanced by heartening moments full of feels. The first time Rachel Martin saw him, assuming the man her BFF broadly pointed out had lied about his marital status, Rachel pulled no punches letting him know what she thought of his slimeball @$$ no matter how sexy his smirk was. As it turned out though, her inebriated friend had the wrong guy. Thinking she’d never see the striking stranger again, Rachel leaves without an apology. “It washim.Holy shit.It was really him. Screwed.I was royally screwed.” As luck or destiny or something in the vicinity would have it, Rachel locked eyes with him the very next day. When she arrived to class. Taught by the absurdly punctual Professor Caine West. Late. Where she’d be his new teaching assistant for the next four months. Things could not get any worse, or could they? After that class, they formally introduce themselves and the spark flying chemistry between skyrockets. Their push-pull was feisty, full of innuendo and sometimes flat out hot. Rachel loved pushing all his buttons trying to break his control, and he pushed her right back, up against a wall or desk. But there was so much more to them than sizzling attraction, they also had an easy rapport and things in common that helped form a deeper bond between them, like their love for music and the fact that addiction close to them had a hand in shaping their lives.“He shook his head and continued reading, but I caught the corner of his lip twitch. Why did I love that lip twitch? It felt like a little reward of some sort.”Vi Keeland creates the best heroes who are easy to fall in love with. Beneath Caine’s sexy arrogance lives an observant, thoughtful, caring, alpha male who carries too much misplaced guilt. Caine didn’t nickname his TA Feisty for nothing. Rachel has quick, sharp tongue and isn’t afraid to use it. Preferably with Caine. I loved their text exchanges, I loved how Caine took care of her, how he got jealous, I loved watching them fight, grow closer together, give in to temptation and finally fall in love.“You’re that song. I don’t know any of the words, but the tune is so damn familiar.”I always have a good time reading Vi Keeland’s stories. They’re written with a smooth, easy to read pace.Beautiful Mistake made me smile, laugh, fan myself with Caine’s deliciously dirty mouth and swoon from start to finish with its fascinating characters and beautifully sweet plot with a twist that cemented their fate even though they had to face a lot of bumps to get there.“The connection between us had been there from our first meeting—a spark we could step on a try to extinguish or blow on to fan the flame.”Beautiful Mistake is a standalone contemporary romance, written by Vi Keeland. This is a perfect summer read. It is told from both points of view with a happy ending.Amazon -> http://amzn.to/2upr5E4* I was given an ARC of this book courtesy of the author via InkSlinger. REVIEW ALSO POSTED ON MY BLOG ♕ BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE ♕ Kitty Kats Crazy About BooksHello Cover!! MY NAME IS KAT AND I AM A COVER HOE 😝 BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE:A sexy new standalone romance novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’ Ohhhh I loved how this started, being the wing woman to her friend drowning her sorrows over a cheating lying bastard at the bar they work at, she’s alerted by her friend that the cheating lying bastard is there in the blue shirt. It’s not until she needs to use the ladies room and sees him on his phone texting outside the males stalls that she gives him a piece of her mind. Wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mistaken identity. Right shirt, wrong colour, what her friend should've said was the guy in the brown shirt not blue shirt. The downside of having a drunk tongue that spurts out the wrong things."I said he was the good looking guy in the blue shirt, not the Greek god modeling one.""Ava - the guy talking to Sal right now, right at this moment, is Owen?" "yes." "His shirt is brown, Ava. Not blue." The next day sees her dashing towards campus running late knowing that the Professor she’s going to be working under for 14 weeks hates tardiness and locks the door once class commences has her in a fit of panic, not a good start to her day. Sneaking in which doesn't go undetected by the Professor who's got his back to the class writing up lessons has both of them gasping when they make eye contact. He's the hotty at the bar she gave a tongue lashing to. *Face palm*➽It was him.Holy shit.It was really him.Screwed I was royally screwed. I loved the slow build up with these two, the funny feisty banter had me in giggles, his past we got glimpses into, the hotness that sizzled off the pages when these two took the plunge and did the deed. This man can dirty me up any day.. Tell me, do you want to ride me, be on all fours, bend over the footboard, or spoon f#ck. Or maybe you'd just rather sit on my face? This had all the feels zapping through my body, sad, happy, in lust, in love, giggling, you name it I felt it. ➽If God was busy, one of his angels would listen..

RATING: 5 Feisty and Guardian Angel Hearts!! <3 “That’s the thing about true love—we never see the beginning or the end.” Beautiful Mistake is an explosively swoon-worthy romance with a sophisticatedly unpredictable plotline, making it stand on its own in the banality of the contemporary genre—a testament to Ms. Keeland’s eloquent writing. “We all make mistakes. Life doesn’t come with instructions. Someone who loves you will forgive you for them. But when you hide them or lie about them, they’re no longer mistakes—they’re decisions.” Rachel is a spitfire, full of unwavering loyalty and compassion and a delightfully sarcastic wit, a beautiful amalgamation of qualities that has us as deeply captivated by her as is Caine. She tries to remain professional with Caine given she’s his teaching assistant, but blessedly she’s not resolutely closed off on an emotional level rather she stays true to her feelings despite not being able to act on them. Caine is an impressive dichotomy of a character, both alpha and beta hero wrapped up in one deliciously contradictory package. He’s stoic in appearance yet riddled with vulnerabilities, professional yet completely unapologetic about his penchant for dirty-talk, and seemingly unsentimental yet a substantial half of the poignant bond between him and Rachel, and we can’t help but fall in love with him from the onset.“Sometimes we forge our own path. Sometimes the path is created for us, and we can only follow.” The romance between Rachel and Caine is of the scorching variety, one where the passion starts as a spark between them and each subsequent page serves as a catalyst that encourages the flame to burn hotter as it grows to greater heights. Ms. Keeland masterfully wields the embers of a love that burns slowly, giving us time to feel every lick of flame created by the tension and need radiating off Rachel and Caine as their story unfolds in a series of insightful flashbacks and the present, and is seared into our memory in the process.“God, forget peanut butter and jelly. There is no better combination than a dirty mouth and sexy suit.” Overall, Beautiful Mistake is a mesmerizing story, its arc providing a beautiful mix of passion, affection, emotional heartache, and playful humour that more than satisfies both the hedonist and romantic in us all.Posted: September 19, 2017

"God, forget peanut butter and jelly. There is no better combination than a dirty mouth and sexy suit."These dang authors that dream up these sexy as sin professors, good lord..... I am so in love with a professor. His name, Caine West❤️ He is cocky, he is forward, and man is he hot. Professor West is not a relationship type guy. Oh no, he's all playboy. That is until he runs into Rachel Martin. The instant connection, the smoking chemistry, and then boom, his now student and teaching assistant. Rachel is all sweet, innocent, beautiful, and isn't one to just give herself away freely. She doesn't fall for players, until she already lost her heart. I thought this was gonna be the jif of the story, fall in love with your professor/student, the end. Nope. That isn't it at all. This author throws some curves in there I honestly didn't see coming. There was drama, angst, and lots of hot scenes. I liked this story, I thought it was sweet, and I loved the ending. And I definitely have a cocky professor to add to my list❤️

Another desperate needy female without much backbone and pride.Typical male protagonist - anti-commintment manho with little morals.Nothing new in CR.Well, but how do I feel about violation of confessional seal..., or better said violation of sacredness of confession? My rating is the answer.

5 'My guardian Angel' Stars! My goodness! Vi Keeland has such an extreme talent that she manages to surprise me every single time. I always wait for her releases like a kid on Christmas' day and I was so excited about this one because it just sounded so freaking good! And man.. was is good! It was so much more than that..Beautiful Mistake is Vi's newest novel and it is a standalone love story between a sexy music teacher and his new TA (teacher assistant). Caine and Rachel meet in the most hilarious circumstance and they do not expect to meet again. Imagine when they actually do meet and sparks start flying everywhere (and not just the panty-melting kind of sparks!).“Earlier I told you I didn’t bite students.” He smiled, and I felt the wickedness from it shoot down to some interesting places. “I don’t. But I make no promises about not biting feisty TAs.”Vi Keeland's creations just click with all my must-have boxes in a very especial way. I find that her books have everything that I enjoy in a good contemporary romance: great plot, outstanding characters, a little bit of drama and lots of heat! And Beautiful Mistake was no different. I loved the development of the story, the surprises along the way and the scenes and extremely hot chemistry between the couple.“If I weren’t your professor and you weren’t a nice girl, your re-virginized pussy would be sore as hell right now.”OH MY GOD. Does Vi know how to write heart racing sexual tension? Heck yes! This woman is a genius when it comes to wonderful chemistry between the main characters. The building of Caine and Rachel's relationship was just fantastic and when it actually came to the sexy times.. it was hotter than hell! And when the feelings get in the mix, even better!“It’s us.” “Us?” “Together. It just works. I felt it the first night we met. Just didn’t want to accept it.” “Do you accept it now?” “I never really had a choice, Feisty.”And what I love about Keeland's writing is how she surprises her readers with a twist every single time. I definitely do not expect what happened but I loved it! It made me connect even more with the story and the main characters. That is what I love finding in a good novel: how everything connects perfectly. And, of course, everything connected brilliantly at the end (I looooved it!).“Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have good luck.”Therefore, my rating for Beautiful Mistake is 5 STARS! I mean.. does it come as a surprise? It's freaking Vi Keeland! I got everything I wanted and more so I am not complaining at all! I loved Caine and Rachel and their love story and I can't wait to read what is next. A new collaboration with Penelope Ward is coming and I want it like yesterday! So, of course, highly recommend this one!CHECK OUT MY BLOG HERE:

I am a huge fan of Vi Keeland and I love her easy and sexy style that always guarantees me I won't regret choosing her story. Even if her last books weren't a completely hit for me, "Beautiful Mistake" was different and had another vibe that intrigued me from the beginning. It had something more fresh and sexier and brought a more complicated plot which I enjoyed.Caine and Rachel met by mistake and in the funniest way possible. Rachel confused him of being her best friend cheating ex and just told him in his face awful things, until realizing that she got the wrong guy. Horrified by her mistake, she quickly leaves the bar in order not to face the shame of accusing an innocent man. Only that her plans are soon to be changed when she realizes the handsome guy she shouted a night ago is her boss, a professor at a school she is working at a TA. And not just every TA, HIS :) Soon both of them will begin a very interested journey when attraction will be forbidden and they will try everything just to ignore it and move on. Caine had lived a complicated life. His passion for music brought him fame and satisfaction, only that this business can be very hard for a teenager that was not able to cope with it. After some tragic events, Caine leaves the spotlight and finds shelter in teaching music and its therapeutic powers. When Rachel enters his world, he knew something will happen and he was drawn/intrigued almost immediately. His reputation of ogre will be destroyed, because this feisty little woman which happens to be his TA, will change him forever and give him a fresh perspective upon love. Rachel has her own demons to slay, but she managed to let the past behind, starting new. Her job is the most important to her and music therapy is the way she healed her wounds but also managed to help others heal. She clicked with Caine almost instantly because of their passion for music, but also because they both had a gruesome past that had to be left aside. I liked her because she had a personality with which you could relate, she was no super hero, she was a simple girl, with fears and qualities and a big heart. Their relationship was sweet, sexy and very funny, because they kept on fighting and arguing and always gave the readers a hell of a show. Why only 4 stars? Because as interesting as the characters were, the plot and the angst was not that gruesome and complicate as I predicted. I thought that there was something more serious behind the plot, and until the end my nerves were killing me to find out what was it. After I discovered, I was not that shocked and I really didn't understand what the fuss was all about...It was kind of poor in drama, and although, it was a serious reason for the characters, for me it didn't have that impact..So, only 4 stars :) For more reviews please check https://readwithloveblog.wordpress.com

There are some authors out there that whenever they release a new story, I can’t wait to get my hands on it and I’m usually always guaranteed to love it. Vi Keeland is one of those authors for me, whether it’s one of her own or one of her collaborations, I always wait with real anticipation for the release. Beautiful Mistake was just pure awesomeness; it was full of humor and a lot of scorching hot and steamy scenes that had me fanning myself incessantly. For anyone out there who is a Vi Keeland fan, I urge you to read this book ASAP as you are sure to love it as much as I did. Rachel works at a local bar to help pay for her college tuition. One night she is at the bar with her best friend Ava, to help her begin to mend her broken heart by drowning her sorrows. Ava, in her inebriated state, is sure she sees her ex. Her ex who was MARRIED to someone else the whole time they were together. Rachel takes it upon herself to tell this two timing loser what she thinks of his cheating ways. Rachel soon discovers that the guy she verbally attacked was not Ava’s cheating ex. It was a case of mistaken identity which was not surprising given Ava’s physical state. She couldn’t tell the difference between a blue shirt and a brown. Rachel leaves the bar feeling completely mortified about telling off this hot stranger. “The music blared. The only thing I could see was blackness. But God, could I feel.”Aside from working at the bar, Rachel is also studying her masters in musical therapy and has taken on a TA position for a professor she has heard a lot of rumours about, not all were favourable either. One thing she has learnt is that the professor has no tolerance for tardiness. When she turns up to the first lecture (late of course), she soon discovers that fate has one hell of a wicked sense of humor. No prizes for guessing who the professor was. Yep, that’s right, the hot stranger, she unleashed her tirade on at the bar the other night. She knows she definitely has some explaining and apologizing to do. Caine West is the music professor at Brooklyn College and has lived the rock star lifestyle. He was previously a drummer in a band. Now he is possibly the most feared and loathed professor at the institution. Not all rumours Rachel had heard about him turned out to be true and sometimes you just have to make up your own opinion about people. Sometimes events can warrant acting harshly towards other people. When Rachel and Caine first start working together she calls him out on the rumours she had heard about the professor. After he explains himself, I believe his actions were more than warranted. The sexual attraction and chemistry between Rachel and Caine literally jumped right off the pages and was absolutely electrifying. I just knew this couple lusted after each other something fierce and I read eagerly until they finally gave in to their attraction. They were so hot and intense and everything about them together just worked for me. I loved this story from the first word read until the very last, it hooked me right in and I just fell in love with this plot and these characters. This book just ticked all the boxes for me and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to read a hot, sexy, humorous story with a sexy as sin academic and his fiery assistant with attitude to boot. I love Vi Keeland and can’t wait to read what she brings out next.

I did not enjoy this and I had a lot of issues with it. I hate the teacher/student trope in contemporary books, even if the male is a 32 year old professor and the female is a 25 year old TA graduate student. I don't care, I hate it nonetheless. I picked this up regardless hoping maybe I wouldn't be bothered by it becase it's Vi Keeland and I enjoyed her previous books. I was beyond bothered. The relationship Caine and Rachel had was unprofessional from the start. It was inappropriate and just a big fat no. I didn't enjoy the angst or the development of the relationship. The back story was okay I guess, but I've read too many of those anyway. I saw the plot twist from a mile away. Rachel was too needy and annoying when she kept on claiming how strong and feisty she is.Nope.

Get it hereAmazon US * Amazon UKBeautiful Mistake easily became one of my favorite books from Vi Keeland. I loved these characters and how well they connected to one another, especially when it came to their love of music. Caine and Rachel had the kind of chemistry that refused to let my attention go and I read this book in one sitting because of that. The story was a little forbidden, sexy as hell, and had a lot of intrigue. This is a definitely recommend from me and a book I already know will be re-read many times in the future.

4.5 Hot For Teacher Stars! Rachel Martin is a 25 yr. old woman who had a troubled childhood that she's tried hard to put behind her. She lives in New York & works as a waitress/bartender at O'Leary's Pub. She has great friends & is a graduate student at Brooklyn College. She's a teaching assistant to help offset the price of her tuition at the music conservatory. While at work one evening Rachel spots the jerk that recently did her best friend wrong. She proceeds to thoroughly tell him off & let him know exactly what she thinks of him. She later figures out she told off the wrong guy. Embarrassed she slips out the back thinking she'll never see him again. Rachel has a new TA assignment & has been reassigned to Professor West. She shows up on her first day to meet her new boss, and is stunned to see the gorgeous stranger from last night. She made a horrible first impression, and she hopes he won't remember her from the bar. No such luck. From the cocky smirk he's throwing her way, it's clear Professor Caine West definitely remembers her. Caine & Rachel both felt a connection from the moment they met. The closer they work together the harder it is to deny the chemistry between them. They try fighting their intense attraction & keep things professional, but their craving for one another is soon out of control and takes over. One touch and they are both done for. All self restraint is gone. They can no longer resist the strong pull between them & give in to their mutual desire.-"You're the most amazing woman I've ever met."-"Together. It just works. I felt it the first night we met."-A spark we could step on and try to extinguish or blow on to fan the flame. Secrets are revealed & suddenly things get emotional between this couple. I really enjoyed this book & devoured it like I do any book by Vi Keeland. I love her writing & am always completely consumed by her beautiful stories!

Let's skip the summary of the plot with this one and just move on to my feels of the book, shall we? I dove into this book with only 0.1% idea of what it's about. All I knew was information from the blurb but there's so much more in here that I wasn't really prepared for. I don't want to steal the excitement from you by spoiling it,so....skipping my usual plot summary it is. Vi Keeland is an automatic one-click for me for so many reasons. Hands down, this woman is one of those few authors who can start a book with a laugh out loud romantic comedy, then shifts it smoothly into a moving love story. One second I'm like, "OMG, these two... BAHAHAHAHAHA!!" then 60% and I was like, "Oh geez. My heart... my heart...DAFUQ was that I read!?".The transition of Caine and Rachel's story was soooo smooth you'll never notice Vi's stealing your heart already. BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE is a fun read but don't be fooled by the cute and RomCom feels of the blurb, because my dear friends, Vi Keeland's hidden a mickey there that will melt your heart (oh yeah, and your panties. Like you really have to ask?). BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE is a fast-paced read that will give you something more than the blurb's fun premise.

I buddy read this book with my dear friends sisPearl , Rachmi and Felita (Check out their fab reviews by clicking their names!)Rachel Martin is the kind of woman you'll like as your best friend. She's feisty, protective, smart and loyal. No matter what circumstances, she always got your back. The aspiring musical therapist works as a waitress and teaching assistant to support her studies and daily needs. When her co-worker / best friend is nursing a broken heart over a guy she dated for weeks, was actually married. Rachel confronted this attractive, hot and sexy Caine West. The confrontation turned into an embarrassing moment when she berated on the wrong guy and their paths crossed again in class the following day. It turns out Caine West is her professor and she is his new teaching assistant. Talk about an awkward moment.I feel so embarrassed for Rachel and at the same time it's freaking hilarious! It's truly a promising start and I love the slow burn romance between Rachel and Caine. OMG their romance alone will give you palpitations. The sexy scenes are blazing, passionate and shall I say creative? (THAT HEADPHONES SCENE!) I swear Professor Caine West will make you swoon! Vi Keeland is wonderful at writing embarrassing first encounters and contemporary romance in general. This student - teacher romance story is heartwarming, refreshing and offered more than I expected. Rachel and Caine had a rough past and they have their own personal issues. Those secrets they have made their relationship rocky but I like their respect each others spaces when they need to. In the end, they handled it maturely. I love these two for handling it maturely. Even if it's difficult to face the truth, they remained honest and let themselves forgive and let go. So glad they found happiness with each other. The reason I give this 4.5 stars because the plot twist is predictable. Nonetheless, this book stood out for me. I recommend it if you are into romance novels.Final rating: 4.5 / 5 stars

Rachel is 25. She's working as a waitress in a bar in Brooklyn. But she's also going to school to become a music therapist.Caine is a few years older. Also, he is not Drew! Drew was the guy who lied to Rachel's bestie Ava about being single! But Rachel yelled at poor Caine at the bar. Called him names and whatnot.LOL!The next morning she sees him again - as her new professor and boss! She's his new TA!Can a music professor with a sad & mysterious past and his student - also with a mysterious past - ever have something real and official and everlasting???WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO RACHEL & CAiNE????WiLL THERE BE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER?READ THE BOOK TO FiND OUT! ☺══════════════════════════Oooh I loved it!It was almost a rockstar romance - and those are my absolute favorite kinds of books!I also love student-teacher books when we don't have a pedo thing going - meaning the girl has to be way older than 18! And we have that here. Rachel is already 25. ☺Caine is so adorable and funny and mysterious and Rachel is so cute and always late - which Mr. Prof hates! They're really adorable together - but of course they can't really be together with him being her boss and thesis advisor. And then there are those sad things that happened in both their pasts ...But of course we don't care about such details!!! ☺ We just want the Happy End!!!But of course it might take us a while to get there!!I just loved this story! It has everything a great romance needs! Funny and cute and sexy moments. But also very serious and sad moments (especially when we go back in time with our darlings!)Amazing book, but two tiny points that bothered me a bit. Nothing that would bother anyone else. It's just me being a weird reader. ☺First of all - there's unfortunately one of my absolute hard limits in here: faith/religion/god-talk. I love a good priest romance ;) - but as soon as a 'normal' book tries to tell me to believe in god, or rather the hottie professor in that book says: yes, I believe in god, I want to run away screaming. It wasn't all that bad here, but we do go to confession a million times and talk to a priest and ugh. I just hate that. Also... the story was kind of slow here and there. I couldn't read it in one sitting, I had to take some breaks and go do other stuff. I felt a bit bored sometime. Ugh, that sounds bad. I don't mean it that way. It wasn't bad or mega slow, but I wanted a bit more excitement. Or a bit more excitement a bit sooner... but pffff, don't listen to me - it was a great love story!!!!! I even cried a bit toward the end. ♥Please Hollywood, come and make a movie out of this book!!!!BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE was such a great love story! Funny, sexy, moving, sad, exciting, adorable! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Caine - this one is MINE! And I mean both the guy on the cover and the guy in the book! ☺♡ ♡ ♡ ♡♡♡

4 - 4.5 ★'s Rachel and Caine meet at a bar where Rachel and her friend work. Rachel's not very nice considering she thinks he is the guy her friend was dating, who just happened to be married. Suffice it to say, they didn't get off to a good start. Then, she finds out he's her professor and she's his teaching assistant. It doesn't help that she breaks his infamous rule of never being late. They're attracted to each other but try to keep things professional. Caine feels like there's something familiar about Rachel and it's driving him crazy. They both help each other out when they can. Caine by going with her to meet the subject of her thesis and changing her tire and Rachel helping him out with his nieces when one has an allergic reaction. It ultimately becomes too much and they give into their desires. It doesn't hurt that there's a bit of jealousy involved. The steamy scenes are definitely hot! There are some scenes from the past where Caine was helping a little girl. At first, they seem a bit off but soon you put the pieces together as does Caine and it freaks him the hell out. He stays away from Rachel as much as he's able. I loved the twist...it was very sweet and I enjoyed how things came together. The tattoo was pretty awesome and so apropos! The ending was pretty hilarious...poor Caine! Another great read from Vi Keeland and one I would definitely recommend!

4.5 Stars!“Maybe I couldn’t get you out of my head because you were supposed to be there.”I absolutely loved this book!!! I have to say, you can never go wrong with Vi Keeland. Never! So far every book of hers I’ve read I’ve absolutely loved and this is no exception!!!!! This one is funny, sweet, swoony and even have some twists and turns that you totally don’t expect. I was totally hooked from the beginning. This has got to be one of my favorite books from her. “Not sure I’m capable of selfless. Spent most of my life on the -ish side of self, rather than the -less.”  If you’ve read the blurb, you kinda have an idea of what this is about. You definitely have an idea of how the first encounter between Caine and Rachel goes! She confuses him with someone else! Someone that was dating her best friend but turns out had a wife and kids. Anyway, this was super funny. The next morning she’s on her way to school (she’s a Grad Student) and not only is she late, she finds out Caine is her professor and she’s his TA! They have a ton of funny moments/encounters that I just loved. “Earlier I told you I didn’t bite students.” He smiled, and I felt the wickedness from it shoot down to some interesting places. “I don’t. But I make no promises about not biting feisty TAs.”  I thought this would be a typical student/teacher romance, but it’s not, it’s so much more. Rachel has had a tough past and is such a hard-working strong girl. And Caine, he’s so freaking swoony. And well he also has a very interesting past that might even affect his future. This is told in dual POV but you also get some flashbacks of Caine’s past. And that twist! Totally didn’t see it coming! As always, Vi’s books are so well written and so well rounded. I’m definitely a huge fan. I absolutely recommend. I can’t wait for what she’ll bring us next!!! “It’s us.”“Us?”“Together. It just works. I felt it the first night we met. Just didn’t want to accept it.”“Do you accept it now?”“I never really had a choice, Feisty.”   **An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review**

***3.5 Be my angel STARS***¿Qué Vi sabe hacer unos protagonistas de muerte?

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Vi Keeland and her books? Hmmm...I don't know that I can, so you might have to just put up with my repetitive adoration for this amazingly talented author. Her latest release, BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE, is about a professor and his newly appointed teaching assistant, and the ups and downs that follow with a taboo-like relationship. At least when you read the synopsis, that is what you will get from it. But let me tell you something. Caine and Rachel's journey to happiness turns out to be SO MUCH MORE than that. From the rocky start they had, to the epic ending they arrived to, it was just PURE BLISS! "You're so full of yourself, you've already decided you're going to break my heart. Did you ever stop to think maybe it's me who will break your heart someday?"BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE was EVERYTHING you could EVER expect in a Vi Keeland romance with one exception. With every new release, I believe Ms. Keeland pulls harder and harder on our heartstrings, making us FEEL more, LOVE more, and REACT more. This story hit my heart harder than her previous books and I believe it was the complexity of Caine and Rachel's relationship from the very beginning that made the difference. There is no EASY happily ever after here. There is no quick resolution or fast journey to the end. The author was more particular with some aspects of the story, leaving me with so many emotions to deal with. There was happiness, sadness, heartbreak, and SO MUCH FRUSTRATION throughout, but THAT is what makes this such a beautiful and dynamic romance. There are plenty of sexy times, emotional times...there is ANGRY sex (which is my fave!) and plot twists that you will not see coming. BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE was just an all-around FANTASTIC ROMANCE! With Vi giving us something a little bit different from her usual, I'm excited to see how she surprises us next! Whether you are a hardcore Vi Keeland fan or you've never read her stories before, this is one book that NEEDS to be read by YOU.
